Would Twitter have exploded? I can really only remember one time Twitter has went down and that's when Michael Jackson died some years back.

But I was just wondering last night, if that was Romo and the Cowboys did that, how massive of a meltdown/excitement on social media would there be? Would this message board even be able to handle the traffic?

Like if you think what he went through so far is bad and the whole Seattle fumbled snap to start his career, this would be 100x worse.

We would NEVER hear the end of it. It'd be like the botched extra point in Seattle in 2007 but 100x worse. And yes... Twitter would've exploded, there would've been thousands of ridiculous memes made, everyone who isn't a die-hard Cowboy fan would rejoice and laugh in our faces. It would've been brutal. I thought the Dez catch was hard to deal with... couldn't imagine dealing with this.

Maybe if Collinsworth would blame Garrett for about 10 minutes straight, Romo would get as big a pass as Wilson is getting.

Agreed. When the Seattle game from 06 happened, Romo was still unknown, and really no one really bashed him back then or the team. It was bad but it kind of blew over quickly.

If this situation occurred, that would live in infamy for the rest of our lives. Countless memes like you said and just constant in your face smack talk and ridicule from the people who hate Dallas/Romo. It would escalate to heights we've never seen. I would have to detach myself from social media for a long time.

I hope if Romo ever gets his shot, something like this does not happen.

I don't think I could handle something like that. I've already had to go through Game 6 of the 2011 World Series and the 2006 NBA Finals, Colt McCoy getting hurt on the first series of the 2009 title game against Bama and then how they lost that Tech game in 2008 when Crabtree beat them.. But the Cowboys are my favorite team by far.

These threads asking us about if that had been a Romo interception are what will never end!

Who cares. It's the offseason and even months away until the next interesting aspect of football which is the draft. What else is there to talk about?

More than anything it'd be garrett or callahan getting roasted and people complaining why Murray wasn't trusted to run it in.

Really?

Can we let it go..................Romo's been tied to the stake the day he stepped on the field.

Big deal. It's laughable

The burning will come if he doesn't win a Superbowl. With every reel of football memories, for eternity.

We know Tony is the best QB Dallas has ever had and we know why he hasn't hoisted a Vinnie.

Screw the uneducated, shock jocks and band wagon fans.

Anything but this.

Steve Young said it best, perception is stronger than reality because People believe perceptions.

There have been people who doubted Belichick because he hadn't won a SB in ten years. It isn't just Romo.

Why must every incident like this be represented with a thread where people feel sorry for themselves that the world is not singing the praises of Dallas and their players?

It was a terrible play call by Carroll. A good throw by Wilson. A head's up play by Butler. And Brady is now being heralded as perhaps the best when the three things before this sentence were why.

But you know, if you want this to change, the Dallas Cowboys will need to starting winning Super Bowls. Otherwise, this self pity parade about this team and your self esteem built on the accolades or lack thereof will not change any time soon.

Actually, I wouldn't trust Murray in that situation..

Marshawn? All day, everyday. I would of ran it 3 times..

Thought about that when it happened.

But Dez would have gotten across the receiver, too.

I'd like to think Dallas wouldn't have thrown into the traffic on second down though.

It's a lot easier to win Super Bowls when the officials don't steal momentum and possibly games from you (this applies to every team because the officiating determines outcomes). Or if you can get away with cheating. Boo hoo, I feel sorry for myself. And every word is true.

Not one mention of what a terrible throw by Wilson that was. I am sure it should have been low and in the midsection so the receiver can just catch it and fall in the endzone since no YAC needed----and less of a chance of getting the ball knocked up in the air. The pass was high and led the receiver, and that's how the CB was able to make his move. I agree Romo would be raked over the coals on that and not only would the play be critiqued, but the way the pass was thrown would as well.
