If the Browns release McCoy...

Wow, this is a load of crap that only a die hard Longhorn hater could come up with.

I'm pretty sure he's trolling, trying to provoke a reaction... he knows he's talkin' trash...

He might be a Horns hater, I don't know, but I think he's just merrily stirring the fecal matter here...

I suspect you are right. That crossed my mind as I read his posts and was writing my response.

Again, he's not gonna hit the open market this year, and I have a hunch he'll remain a Brown until he becomes an unrestricted free agent... so we're talking 2 years down the line...

The Boys' depth chart might look a bit different by then...

I think the discussion started with the OP asking "what if" the Colts released him.

Well, then, I am sure the Longhorns would have crushed Bama then with the great Colt McCoy.
heh.
Hey, that McCoy kid sure proved how talented he was in Cleveland.
Still, I think Jerra would go full tilt for him if he became available. Jerra is prone to enthusiasm.

Sorry about your 'Horns. I am sure they will bounce back one of these days.:)

You really must just be trying to stir the pot - or at least hope so. The sad thing is there are posters that are so screwed up that they only see one extreme (Colt was destined to fail even if he didn't get hurt on that play), or if you disagree that you have to be espousing the other extreme (the Horns would have crushed Bama). I really hope you are just stirring that pot and aren't that blantently goofy.

By the way, not my Horns. I did admire Colt - I love the overacheiving little guy - and I tend to root for Texas schools in the Bowl games.

Mens, let us suspend imagination and reality for a while and think what if that McCoy feller was suddenly available.

Now stay with me on this (not too close). I can jus see Jerra rub his thoughtful chin and look upwards and say, he say "That Molt CcCoy could energize ticket sales . . . hmmm."
And then I say, "Don't do it Jerra." But, being out of earshot and stuff, he cant here me. And he do it. McCoy in camp against that ex AGGIE McGoo.

But it wont be about talent. Just camp fodder for publicity and ticket sales.
You think this is unlikely? Colt here?

Mens, respect the brand known as Jerra. With him as with The Man, anything is possible.:starspin

If he would actually accept the salary and role of a 3rd Stringer, I wouldn't mind seeing him and McGee fighting it out during preseason.

McCoy would be worth a shot.

Holmgren has messed that kid up. Dump McGee. Make him 3rd string for this season and give him time to get back from the head games Holmgren played with him and that team.

Might prove to be the long term replacement for Romo.

Colt is bigger than Romo (if you take away Romo's gut) and has a stronger arm. Actually given the experience and team talent gap... he's the better QB.
Watch more football

If McCoy gets released, and I was the Niners I would be doing everything to get him.

Why? So Colt's Dad can go cry to the media when he gets tackled?

You being the biggest stirrer. I am your puppet master, stirer. Stir harder or get the heck out of the kitchen, Bubba. Or go visit another thread or another Forum.
Intolerant Bubba.

For the record, I do think Jerra would pick him up if he's released and at the right price. And I would consider him an upgrade to McGoo, helicopter dad or no.

So you want a medal or sumptin? Are you the queen rooter for Texas schools at the exclusion of the rest of us?
I bet YOU are a little guy, Intolerant Bubba

and passing windows are much bigger in college, especially against big 12 defenses

And accuracy was always Colt's bread and butter... the guy can put the ball right where he wants it, and that can be as effective as having that cannon arm... again, I've seen him squeeze it in tight windows in college, repeatedly...

Perhaps if you tried, you could think of some really good quarterbacks who didn't have rifle arms... if you have the accuracy and the field smarts, you can work around that...

Colt's arm isn't that bad, anyway... it ain't Aikman-esque, but it's not a popgun...

I thought it was legitimate to point out that his hypothetical stood little chance of actually happening... and perhaps you noticed, I then went on to address the hypothetical...

Yup, troll bait... I recognize the smell...

I thought you were losing your game when you went from playing 50s radio announcer (a schtick I actually kind of enjoyed) to playing a poor man's Leotis Brown, but really, this is a new low for you...

A West Coast offense would definitely fit his skillset...

Yawn...

I'm sorry, did you say something??

Good lord, this thread is ludicrous and comedy all wrapped up in a deep fried Longhorn state fair twinkie.

Unreal.

And people call me the homer.
