This will be no different than any other year. The Cowboys always try to fill holes in the roster before the draft so they have the flexibility in the draft to pick any position. So it's business as usual.

I don't think that's necessary and that's what people believe going all in means, we don't have to get several high priced guys, but we can't be fixated on the low tier guys. Get me one big ticket guy and some guys on modest salaries and I think we can live with that!!

We will add all of those. Rookie LBs and Safeties tend to need a year to get acclimated. So, even drafting these positions may not help much next year.

If the cowboys want to try and compete and be a playoff team. Then they need to do this. IMO

yeah so bring in a vet or whatever have them lead the way for a year or whatever, then the rookies can play and take over next year

A very good pass rusher is what we need very bad. And a good CB. Better two. Outside ones. Revel is not good enough (heck is is really bad but i dont want to hurt feelings around here). Bland should slide back to the slot where he is really good. LDE is also a need.

We have enough hybrids to make this scheme work. No need for safety. And i know, i am also alone with this opinion.

Honestly i dont see us signing either in FA. Not good ones. Maybe like last year we spent money on some busts. Idk. Did you listen to Steph-o? No chance we will spent big time money.

I'm sure you may stand alone on this one, no hard feelings. After the play we saw from Murray, the questions about Overshown staying healthy all year, Sanborn and the other guy we traded for, Liafau/James may be our only guys for now and that's not even anything to be happy about

We need at least 3 solid players on D in FA, and that's just to have a middling D.

I think it's quite possible they won't add one of those positions in FA during the start of FA. They will wait a few weeks before doing some dumpster diving with one year deals.

Liafau is the right LB for the scheme. We wont need big strong oldshool MLBs. That was what Eberflus and the other dc before him was looking for.

I did not say we dont need good players.

I said Parker scheme wont need LBs. Most of the time we will have only one or even none on the field anyways.

We will need smaller quick LBs, hybrids between safties and LBs.Liafau and Overshown are good for it. Also #41 will be playing OLB as Parker said. I think weare set there. Better of course is always good. #41 had no clue and we need an upgrade there badly. Mayne as an OLB he somehow will look like an NFL player some day.

Go back and watch Quinns defense or any other good defense these days. They play nickle and mostly dime versions with two to three hybrids on the field. Stronger safety type players.

There are very few starting LBs over 255 in the NFL. You'll find a few more at OLB in the 3-4 as they are simple edge rushers, but even there, not that many.

I can't think of even one 3/4 MLB starting in the NFL who is over 250.
