If the Cowboys aren't active again in 2025, we might as well bring back McCarthy?

Let him ride it out with this team that's making no attempts to do better or improve. Why subject a new coach to this level of a lack of team building!???

I agree. If you won't spend the money in FA or bring in a Good HC, why fire MM?
Knowing Jerry since Mikes contract will expire they will not let us know anything till the SB week so he can make his Headlines

Nobody is signing a one year extension. If they bring him back, it'd be two.

Hope they clear house. Even with no effort put into building the team, we need new coaches. The guys we'd draft next year need to be the future, and they won't be if they're selected by a head coach on his way out.

If you bring MM back you're going to have to commit to a multi year deal again. No chance a guy like McCarthy will settle for another 1 year deal. He might get interviews with other teams, and if not hes probably positioned himself to get a decent media gig that comes without the headaches of coaching.

Why have a head coach at all? If you must have one, the way the Jones clan go cheap, just bring in a no name and save the money.

Bringing McCarthy back would be a big mistake. On many levels. He's done nothing to get rewarded that job, and honestly bringing him back send the wrong message to the rest of the team that mediocre job performance is acceptable now.

His contract is expiring. Got the Jason treatment. 8)

to be fair, KMoore is going to get a phone call soon.

You have to wonder if he even wants to comeback next year. It’s only going to be worse and without a 2-3 year extension why would he subject himself to this again? They did nothing to help the team and told him here’s chicken poop go make some tasty soup. Now Spaulding is laying the groundwork for a crap offseason? If I was Mike I’d say kick rocks.

If they do give MM one more year than you can expect a duplicate off season. I'm not sure why the obsession with clearing the books, but I wish they'd obsess about winning.
Because they’re business men and not football guys. That is why they are concerned with clearing the books.

we will not be active.....and jerry has to bring in a new coach to sell hope and fill the seats and sell jerseys. MM's run of hope is over.

the rest of the team seems to want him back.

They didn't use to be like this, at least not to this extent. I guess the brand is built though, so they can afford to be cheap.

No, we need to clear out. A new coach and allow him to remould to roster without the pressure of demanding success.
