If the cowboys beat the giants, is the division ours?

Had a discussion with an eagles fan at work earlier. He still doesn't think the cowboys will win the division even if they win. But I totally disagree. If da boys win it will be a 2 game lead plus the tiebreaker with 3 games left. I don't think da boys will lose the last 3 games. But I dont think the giants will win out the rest of the way either. Watcha think?

Not guaranteed, but it will almost certainly be the case. The Giants would have to suddenly become a dominantly winning team and the Cowboys would suddenly have to lose and lose for the Giants to even have a shot at taking the NFC East back.


The odds will probably be greater than 90% in favor of Dallas winning the division should the Cowboys prevail Sunday night.

The Giants have a favorable shedule and Dallas could easily lose 2 of the remaining 3 games but so long as they win at least one in addition to beating the Giants they would have the conference tie breaker (I think). Winning this home game is their best hope, otherwise the odds are against them.

The only way the Cowboys could not have the tiebreaker over the Giants would be if they split the series.

The Giants have a favorable schedule and we don't. Our schedule is easier than the Giants. If we beat the Giants our final 3 opponents are below .500 while the Giants have 2 of their 3 opponents against above .500 teams.

If we win we are one step closer. It does not ensure us anything.

It's a must win game for the Giants not the Cowboys. We win it, it's over. You can take that to the bank. If we lose it, while we'll all be ready to jump off a bridge, we'll still have a realistic chance.
