If the Cowboys Don't Win in 2024, Who's the HC?

Let’s see, in the NFC there are 16 teams and the boys are supposed to be the 3rd best team and looking at Preseason SB, they have the 5th best chances of winning. So they may not have the best team but they are not looked at like the Raiders either.

It would take a significant collapse for MM to not be the coach next year. Dan Quinn is the obvious next up.

If it’s DQ we’ll just keep spinning our wheels. He’s one of those that’s a good DC, but not a good HC.

My first guess is DQ. My second guess is Belichick.
Mike McCarthy. Jerry HATES changing HCs. After a full decade of the Jason Garrett show where we made the playoffs 3 of 10 seasons, and had 2 WC wins to show for it…JJ still had to be forced to cut Garrett loose.

In short- IMO unless this team falls apart and quits on Big Mac, he’s back in 2024.

IF he is out after a bad season, bring in a fresh, new hire not already on the team. Making DC head coach would be a mistake IMO. Nothing would really change under Dan.

The Cowboys will have their third consecutive 12 win season and that single fact has legs of it's own.

they let Garrett stay here from 2007-2019

Mike aint going nowhere
"They" = Jerry Jones. Your observation, which happened in reality, is an example of relevance often ignored within what if discussions.

Hypotheticals are not necessarily biased. Not factoring in key variables, like omitting what actual decision makers might do, can certainly lean them towards that direction.

McCarthy isn't going anywhere but a 72 year old Bellichik? lol

yeah, but we have dak so we should be looked at like the kid who gets a participation trophy. shrugs ain't it cute...

If McCarthy is smart, he'll devise a game plan that doesn't put the onus on Dak. The only way the Cowboys can succeed is for Dak to have to do as little as possible when the pressure is on.
If the Cowboys don't win, Dak has to go.
The Cowboys would have been in last year's Super Bowl if Dak wasn't the quarterback.
