Wow, I'd take either Crabtree, Curry or Smith. I think I'd attempt to trade down, even if it's for less than equal value just because I'd be estatic with any combination of the three

Trade down for sure.
If they had to pick 1st...then maybe Smith. But a trade down for Crabtree, possibly Smith or Monroe, one of the OTs, Orakpo or Curry

I'd trade down a few spots, maybe even out of the top 5, and pick up some extra picks later and then take whoever is still sitting there from Smith, Crabtree, Curry, or Orakpo.

No one wants it. So no one will trade for it.

Well of course they would, but not at near the price that the #1 used to demand. I agree that this year in particular would be tougher b/c there is no clear #1.

trade the pick at all cost. none of them guys are worth 60mil +

There is no rule that states you must pay the player a certain amount over last year because he is #1. You can negotiate with several players before the draft and take the one that gives you the best value for the money. I think that someone who is projected at #5-#10 would gladly take a fair contract to go along with the status of #1 overall.

Crabtree or Curry. These two type players only come around once every 10 years or so, if that.

IMO Monroe from Virginia is better, and going to be better than Jason Smith.

That would be someone with a moron for an agent.

So Curry will better than Ware or Merriman and Crabtree will be better than Calvin Johnson? :D

Considering our best WR hasn't caught more than 20 balls in any season in this league, I would have to go with Crabtree. No brainer.

Here's an idea if I had the #1 overall pick. I'd send it to the Bronco's with a 3rd for Jay Cutler and their 2nd. Go to Detroit, trade Jay Cutler for Calvin Johnson and 2 3rd rounders. We'd get C.J, another 2nd rounder and another 3rd.

:madden:

Sorry someone had to do it :D

wow tough call....

i'd go crabtree though.

cut crayton and allow the team to truly be a team.

crabtree would have a couple seasons as a #2 and then he'd pass RW11 as our lead guy.

nfl cbs will have trouble tackling Crabtree. that guy is very strong for his size.

I don't trust Orakpo's knee ... I don't trust spending such a high pick on a receiver. If my scouts agree that Smith will be out LT for the next decade then I take him.

ugggggggg.... ya know i just can't go WR as much as I love Crabtree. so i have to withdraw my earlier pick.

I'd have to go Jason Smith at LT.

It goes against all my principles to draft a guy who probably sits as a rookie but have to here. He'd give us another 9 or 10 years of stellar LT play.

Ideally we'd trade down even if it wasn't for exact value. I'd take a mid 1st, a 3rd and a 2nd next year.

Roy made a Pro Bowl. Try again.
