This franchise never ceases to perplex me .

We start out looking like we can very much hang our hat on our defense and then for some reason after the bye week everybody thinks they have to lead the league in sacks and abandoned stopping the run and we get hammered.
The team for some reason looks like it really likes to play for Cooper Rush unfortunately Cooper can beat some teams with the rest of the team playing at the top of its game but his arm strength is suspect enough where he is going to struggle especially in the playoffs.
That said nothing demoralizes a defense more than being thrown out on the field after the quarterback has changed plays and thrown interceptions.
But I don't blame Dak solely for those interceptions against the Packers CD lamb had an equal part in that debacle.

In the bigger picture having a bi-week to get prepared there is absolutely no excuse for them not being on the same page unless McCarthy just let them screw off and not prepare properly.

For some reason this team just looks like it starts to wear down about halfway through and tries to coast to the end but I'm afraid the Vikings Giants Titans Eagles are going to make it a little difficult to coast into the playoffs this year in the NFC East.

Worse yet I'm not sure we really haven't answer Even if we didn't like our guys we have what we have and if we can't get it to play better we got a hard way to go.

Rush can't control the defense but if the guys just like him they will play harder for him. Dak is the loner on the team who tries to act like he is a leader but the rest of the team is whispering how he is taking up the wealth and some of these guys are not going to get paid because of Dak. I don’t think they packed it in or play less with Dak.

It’s like the Denver game last year. They put a simple blueprint out how to stop the offense. Load the box, stop the run, play man across the board and force Dak to throw.

Minnesota, like Green Bay and Chicago can and will run the ball. Expect 30-40 runs with Cook and they will set up Jefferson on Brown for easy touchdowns.

I can accept that if he is not.
But he is the QB so I root for him to win and the team. Unlike many others on here that do not like him and rather see us lose so they can push their agenda.

I don't disagree. I think its time. reality says, it will be hard to navigate the cap for next two years, but I am all for trading up and getting a QB in high rounds.

but to the OPs original comment, moving to Rush, who clearly is not a good QB, wouldn't help us the rest of the season. there is zero upside. so unfortunately we have to stay the course.

they have a good running game and they know we haven't been able to stop the run, so they will come in heck bent on running the ball. until we stop the run and put the teams in 2nd and long, 3rd and long situations, they will continue to run. and if they have success running, the safties are sneaking up, the LBs are sneaking up and all the space is open behind them. we are known to give up the long play, so if they run and they are successful, then play action is going to work great for them, specially with the likes of jefferson.

our only hope is to run the ball, keep their offense on the sideline and dominate TOP. and score at least 50% of our posessions.

Dak isn’t going anywhere for several years, just take a look at his contract and the hit the team would take.

I have been on this site for nearly 20 years, so "best to accept" is a pretty funny expectation for me to read. There are past, present and future members who cannot accept jack no matter how obvious any situation may be.

Many of us who don't believe in Dak would much rather us win and go all the way in spite of him. But we are realistic and know, we might get lucky in the 1st round, but we are not beating legit playoff teams/defenses.

It would be nice, but why bang your head?
