I posted this in the rumors by Maller thread, but for the TO people:

>>>The Broncos still are interested in Eagles wide receiver Terrell Owens, who must be traded or cut by the close of business Wednesday<<<

I heard some speculation on one of the radio talk shows that the Eagles might pay Owens the bonus he is due Wednesday, and then trade him...apparently nobody wants to trade for him now because of his current contract, but if the Eagles pay the bonus then teams would theoretically be more willing to part with a mid to late rd pick for him

obviously Philly has a ton of cap room and would 1) at least get something for him and 2) he could go to Dallas

just food for thought for people that think it might be a done deal for him to come here

David
Exactly what I alluded to in another thread... a fifth rounder is better than nothing...

I was talking with someone about this this morning.

I told him the Eagles might change their mind and make TO happy.
OR
They release him and he becomes a Cowboy.

The Cowboys are obviously waiting for him.
And if he joins I will continue to cheer the TEAM as I always have.
He would be a nice addition playmaker wise. The dude has something going on but maybe it isn't all about him like we are made to believe.

Remember the sideline stuff where he defended McNabb and then they re-enacted it a few weeks later because of the attention. They had some fun then now didn't they? Something happened.

I'll live through his signing, if it happens. The thing is we can't just stop on TO if he is part of our plan. We need to make sure we are solid in other areas including backups.

So for now I will just wait for Wednesday.

TO was, and is, bigger than McNabb. I don't think he wants to mess with Bledsoe. Bledsoe doesn't sit back and take it the way Mcnabb did. We saw that last year.

Really? He seemed to be talking a lot about Philly even when he was still in SF. When the ravens made a move on him he threw a fit he wanted to go to Philly to be with his boy McNabb. He got what he wanted but that was not good enough either. Now we are told that it was the coaches they were not strong enough to deal with him. It never seems to be TO fault

I was talking strickly about the trade to the Ravens.

People are saying the Eagles could pay him then trade him...And that could be true...But the team he's traded to better be the team that Owens wants to play for or you could have the same messy situation as the Ravens.

As Far as him being unhappy in Philly...It was his contract...He signed it and was stupid...But the Seeds of Discontent were sown in that contract.

As I've said before...The Eagles Made out like bandits the First year and Had nothing but Headches after.
