Would it cause you to believe that they will finish out strong, or would you not be fooled by the turn around? Please give your thoughts
Do yourself a FAVOR and wake up, grow up and stop fooling yourself.

IT WONT HAPPEN

The roster is not good enough to turn it around. 2 rookies on the offensive line, 2 hurt on defensive line. Mazi doesn't have IT. Only one good wide receiver. It's nice to dream but when one gets back to reality the 2024 season is over!

Sick and tired of the Jones Family. Jerry, Stephen, Charlotte, and Jerry Jr. The whole 4 musketeers, tired of them all. All show and no performance. The Dallas Cowboys isn't a legendary franchise to them, it's a money making cash cow to them which they continue to milk year after year. Go on Jerry fire me. Fire everyone. Guess what senile old man, not everyone works for you. But just about everyone has caught on to your jig and gas lighting. I cannot wait for the SF 49ers put a beat down on this soft, poorly coached, poorly managed team.

I am trying to be realistic this year. I just do not see how they turn things around given their schedule and how bad they have been playing. I just do not think they have the players to turn it around.

Their next game against SF should be interesting. I can see them coming out on fire after all the criticism they faced after the Detroit fiasco. I can see a close game with teh 49ers wining something like 24-20. Only because the 49ers have not been playing well either, and they have their own injuries. But I can also see the 49ers beating the Cowboys handily something like 33-13.

I am most curious about Micah Parsons, if he returns for this game. I want to see what kind of energy he plays with, if the layoff inspired him at all. I am hoping sitting on the sidelines has lit a fire in him and cause him to mature as a player and a leader. We'll see.
Thing I can see happening too, they've been banged up as well as us, we have adversity going on with injuries, poor play, and a bad owner

That’s the biggest issue with this team. There is no direction which the team is turning.

Like Denver? Bad offense, tremendous defense?

Like Washington? Outstanding offense, bad defense.

This team does nothing good. They don’t stop the run, they cannot stop the pass. They don’t force punts. They are worst in the league running the ball. The passing game is nearly non existent.

That is the biggest issue of this team right now. They do nothing well.
never any consistency at all!

Their QB is not good. This is another example of wasted talented OL and WRs on a QB that won’t get it done. The SB performance was an outlier, as he got lucky Purdy got hurt and the refs still were bailing them out in the NFC conference finals. The only difference is their FO has shown an ability to make tough decisions.

I hope the Giants smack them around Sunday . That’s another team with a ton of problems .

No

To keep my expectations in check, I’ve got a checklist for the Cowboys to hit before and during each season before I’m ready to believe

1. Significant investments into interior DL.
2. Significant investment into FS
3. Acquisition or development of a strong MIKE LB
4.
Physical run game
5. Efficient and Balanced offense.
6. Coach that is either or all of the following...
6a: Innovative-- 2 steps ahead of other NFL tacticians
6b: Intuitive-- Has an uncanny feel for the flow of a NFL game
6c: Disciplinarian-- Coaches team to low penalties
7. Reliable Kicker

1 and 2 are priority for me because there have been times where we've had the majority of these and it wasn't enough (2014 for example), but never 1 and 2.

But right now all we have is #7.

How on earth are we turning this around? D Law is old and banged up and Micah doesn't seem to care. They are our 2 excuses for poor D play? Dak is dazed and confused, Lamb is sans clue, Zach is on the verge or retirement...our RT well....what makes you think we can turn this aorund, let alone the teams in our division are playing better than us

When you look at Detroit’s roster or KC or San Fran roster and compare it to ours I don’t believe it’s a Super Bowl roster

Defense is horrid at the moment money game at the moment and our QB and WR1 have been underwhelming at the moment

I do believe they can turn things around and make playoffs but a SB run will need alot of luck go our way

I’ll enjoy the season regardless

i think this team could win 10 or 11 games.
i think they can win the east.
i think they could make the play-offs.
beyond that...prove it.
i'd love to see'm go all the way.
rootin' like heaven for it.
i'm not expecting them to.
prove it.

There are developing players and injured players that could make a difference later in the season but the cowboys issues are deeper/foundational (GM/OC) and some players at key positions have hit their ceiling and are simply inadequate (QB). There's also the fact that the front office, despite their protestations, have mailed it in this year. This is a throwaway season and the cap outlook isn't much better going forward.

No. They could go 17-0 in the regular season and I would be convinced that they would choke out of the first playoff game.
They don’t choke, they just have to work twice as hard to beat the better teams because we’re an average talented team

If this team wins two games in a row at any point you’ll see all the believers flood this forum talking about the playoffs and act like like anything prior to those two wins was an anomaly. That’s how it is around here.
