During the last two seasons we went to Detroit we had fun exciting seasons 03 and 07.

Hopefully like those years we win Sunday and make the playoffs

I don't know how you feel, theebs. But, for some odd reason I think the Cowboys are going to go up there and win this game with defense. I really think the defense has that proverbial chip on their shoulders for letting some of the potential wins get away. Plus, the switch to more man coverage...and keeping the defensive plays simple, like running just five different plays like they did against the eagles. Beat your man, get some pressure on Stafford, and I think the Cowboys come home with three wins in a row for the first time in a long time, with two on the road.

I also think the Dallas Cowboys players are getting tired of getting punked by not only the media, but by some of the supposed Cowboy fans.

We will not win against the Saints. Sean Payton is master of using backs and TE and which is our main weakness on our defense.
if we go 2-1 before the bye and sit at 6-4, I am happy

This is reasonable ... but expect to be 5-5.

Up, down, up, down ... same old same old.

Oh, now its Romo, huh?

Did his brother, Roma, go somewhere in you little world?

Tona. Tona. Got it?
You're just trying to confuse me and make me cry.

Tona, Jerra, Jimma. It's a cultural thang with me. And listen bud, when i say those names it is a form of endearment. Stop the pedanticilar process before you hurt some one.

(Ya big lug. You know I admire you and respect you, 5Starsa.)

Spell his name right! Hater!

I think it will reach 2009 levels, but not 2007. In 2007, the Cowboys were 8-1 by the end of their ninth game.

2007 excitement? I don't know about that. That was a special year. Our offensive line was good and we were humming on all cylinders that year at this time. Our only hiccup early on was the Patriots. We were fairly healthy I recall on both sides of the ball. Of course we ran into injuries on offense at the end which really hurt but I'm just comparing first 10 games then to first ten games now.

Our defense that year never put up the putrid performances and shown the inconsistency it has to think you can have long term success down the road. Plus, that year, the only other team to really worry about at the time was the Packers. Now, does anyone think we could beat seattle or SF? Or even the Saints? Heck even GB for that matter.

Since what has transpired since the end of 2007 until today, I really doubt we reach those levels of excitement because many just don't trust Dallas.

Like someone mentioned before, many got excited in 2011 after going from 3-4 to 7-4 and we all know how that season ended.

Got the Vikes in between those two.

I think we're likely going to lose this week, and then that will set everybody off again. But back:back road victories against two decent teams are hard to do in this league. If we were to run it up to 7-3 before the bye, though, somehow, you're right: people will be going nuts.

Detroit is currently the 31st ranked defense in the NFL allowing 397 yds per game.

3 of their 4 wins this year are against Minnesota, Washington, and Cleveland.

Now sure why everybody is so scared of them.

If I recall, the season pretty much went in the tank after that Detroit game. TO got hurt. And we just lost our mojo.

It was the next week against Philly.

Opening drive we have Owens running away from Lito Shepard for what would have been a 75 yard touchdown, on the throw romo hit his thumb on a linemans helmet.

He wasnt right the whole game, then Owens turned his ankle at Carolina. Both were nicked up.

Worst part was the giants asically mimicked the eagles defense, spagnuolo knew all the blitzes and looks from working in Philly with Johnson and called the same game.

Such a bummer and a what if. If romo doesn't hit his thumb on a helmet he hits Owens for a big play and we probably win that game....then who knows what the giants do.

Oh well

I'm very scared of stafford. Big accurate arm.

Not afraid of playing in Detroit or their defense to be honest.

I agree. The Cowboys offense struggles to score points on the road. This would be a good game to get over that hump.

Perhaps many of us remember the Dallas Cowboys (12-1) going into going up to Detroit (6-7) in 2007 and coming back 12-2. That was supposed to be a "can't lose" game. However, it appears we were impressed enough with John Kitna's come from behind victory to eventually sign him as Romo's backup, and he did a great job when Tony got hurt.

This has so many inaccuracies I'm not sure if it is sarcasm or not. The Cowboys were 11-1, went to Detroit, won, and came back 12-1. Kitna had no come-from-behind victory; his team lost.

Lol it is funny.

Romo had a great game winning drive in that game just like he did in buffalo a few weeks earlier.

Ware nearly killed kitna in that game.

And on that game winning drive we won the east that day.

Not particularly scared of Detroit. It's just tough winning two road games in a row, though, not as tough as I thought I remembered it being, actually. And I don't like that they just lost a close one at home to the Bengals.

The Lions have a good team, but it's mostly because that offense is good, and the DL is so stout. The backend of the defense can definitely be taken advantage of. Should be a good test for our interior OL, if nothing else.

It's a chance to get back a W that we dropped in the road loss to San Diego, as far as I'm concerned. We're definitely going to be a tough match for them, it's just a game where I think the teams are evenly matched, and I don't like the intangibles for us as much.
