If the Eagles were to fire their coach, would you want him?

I believ he has underperformed. Last year they had what many called an "all star" roster. They didn't even win the division. I would ask given the Eagles roster the last few year, who wouldn't have succeeded as their head coach?
Who ever said the Eagles had an all star roster last year? They were not that good. The defense was a a mess all year long. The secondary was old at corners (bradberry was getting torched and we didn’t have a nickel) inexperienced at 1 safety old at the other. Lb’s were not good/ ready. The same with the line. Carter was good for a rookie but fell off a cliff last year (happens to rookies). The Eagles started 10-1 last year but if you watched the games, you knew we were in trouble. The defense was terrible. I would say they over achieve last year record wise. We knew Tampa was going to win in the playoffs and they were favored.

In Nicks career, he has one of the highest winning percentage and has covered the over/under in wins the last 4 years. He also went to a SB that before the year no one expected. If Nick underperformed, I have to ask who has over performed?

How do you rate the Eagles' defense this season compared with last season?

Night and day better this year. Last year’s defense could not cover or tackle. This year’s team does both very well. I love this defense. The extra year of experience hugely improved Nolan smith, Dean, Carter, blankenship,Jordan Davis (to a lesser degree) and other rotation guys. The addition of Baun was beyond key and changed everything at LB. He is incredible. Mitchell being a stud on one side allows the safety’s to play free and leave him on an island. Cooper is the nickel we needed. He is so athletic and a good tackler. When the bradberry was not being burned last year the nickel was just as easily being burned. Getting Gardner Johnson back also added swagger back. He is a guy who doesn’t fear stuffing a rb 4th and 1 in run support. He may get beat in coverage from time to time but he makes up for it with turnovers. Even having Rogers as a starter level backup corner gives us something we didn’t have last year when slay gets banged up. Obviously Fangio is a big deal too.

Thanks for the response. Do you think you have enough of a pass rush to get it done?

I think the Eagles have the best team in the NFC. The way you stuck in there and beat the Ravens (who I rate as having the best team in the league this season) was very impressive.

I think it will be a Ravens vs Eagles superbowl with the Ravens winning. But you have a great chance regardless of my thoughts!

Hopefully we have enough pass rush but probably not. Smith is coming on and sweat is good but can disappear at times. For us to have enough pass rush Carter has to continue to be dominant and Fangio be creative with his blitz packages. We are getting Huff back but it is hard to be inspired by that. That is the one weak spot for sure.
