If the game winning field goal were missed, would the sky still be falling?

For some, absolutely.

I recall a very entertaining post game a couple of years ago against Buffalo.

You know I was thinking the exact same thing.

Or even a block would have been nice.

Yes Romo cannot and will not ever get it done.He cannot handle the pressure.

I don't think you've made it clear enough.

Wait didn't you just say earlier that Shanny would make him a winner? Now he can not and will not ever get it done? Why don't you make up your mind.

And even if they miss the field goal, or we block it, we still have major issues. It wouldn't have changed the fact that we didn't get any turnovers again. It wouldn't change the fact that apparently our secondary would have a difficult time covering high school receivers if a team trotted them out there. It wouldn't change the fact that Jason Garrett, for whatever reasons, refuses to lean on the running game even when it's dominating the game.

There would still have been huge questions.

The funny thing is there are no reasons behind his conclusion. None that he can back up with stats or without using a very small sample such as Romo's short career or a single game like last night.

It's like Romo ran over his dog or something.

Romo was told he can't when he first entered the NFL. And ever is a long time.

Not falling but definitely cloudy. The reality of the situation would remain, however:

1. Tony Romo turns the ball over too much.
2. Jason Garrett just doesn't like the run game or isn't smart enough to lean on it, especially when it's most obvious we need to.
3. The defense can't defend down the stretch.

You can pish-posh it away if you want, but those are very real and very troubling concerns. Remember, it's all about winning.

I can understand one post, maybe two, in seperate threads about the same circumstances. But several threads ? Some having nothing to do with the QB ?

Overkill, almost trollish.

This isn't the fans team anymore, this isn't your Dallas Cowboys, it's Jerry Jones toy and lastnight proves really nothing more than a Marti Gra at Jerrys' World.

What ever happened to Cowboys Football.....Jerry Jones happened.

Yeah, it's about winning. But Romo had one fluke interception. Unfortunately he gets the blame for 3 in the stat column when in my mind there were really only 2. So he's averaging 1 per game, which isn't that awful.

I think this defense can defend down the stretch, but I think we do wear a little thin due to our lack of depth. I do think we are capable though.

And I think Garrett takes this game and learns from it. At least I hope he does.

We did one thing right last night...run the ball. everything else we played like a 8-8 team. There are more problems with this team then I originally thought. No pass rush, bad coaching, Cb's look overrated and our QB still has not learned or steped up to the next level. He is what he is I guess. Atleast We have a strong Oline and a running game, that is all i see.

Was it still Cowboys football in the mid-90's when when the Boys won three super bowls?

There is no way you can put this game on Jerry Jones.

Put it on poor tackling, bad schemes, and every player on this team that is supposed to be a "star" except for the running backs and oline.

That one fluke was still a horrible throw that was behind Witten. Either way, not a good throw. And wasn't the only throw Romo made that was off or bad.

I can deal with the bad throws, INT's every once in a while. Hell, Eli had some bad throws as well. but, when it counted , one team got it done. And that team was led by a first round pick. Not an undrafted QB led team.

Although I have never cared for Romo. He is the best Dallas has.

The defense concerns me far more then Romo. Would of been great to get a little help from them last night.

In truth, yes it would. This forum is worse after an ugly win that it ever is after a loss. The over reactions run amok.
