Yes. In a heartbeat.

Cant believe folks would say no to this. You get a young stud at Running Back and only have to move down 11 spots. We could still grab a Shaq Lawson, Noah Spence, or Sheldon Rankins type.

So you get:
RB Todd Gurley
DE Shaq Lawson

instead of what? Bosa? Deforest Buckner?

What if they "instead of" is Goff or Wentz, a guy your scouts tell you can develop into your franchise QB for the next 8-10 years?

Or what if you can get Lynch at 15 and the scouts say he is the guy in this draft that could develop into your franchise guy for the next decade.

Really it all depends on who they like.

You changed the parameters. Sure, if the scouts feel that Lynch has the highest ceiling and the best chance and you are sure you can nab him at 15, yes, you consider the deal. But that wasn't my question.

If the Rams offered Todd Gurley and their pick at #15 to move up to #4 overall would you do it, and why?

Yes.

Cement the RB position with someone who has already proven they can do it in the NFL, and still get a top 15 pick -- Sheldon Rankins, Shaq Lawson, etc. available at that pick. Treadwell, etc.

That's a no brainer. The harder question is would I do #4 for Gurley straight up? I might still do that.

I'd do the trade suggested.

In no way shape or form would I do Gurley at 4 straight up.

I'm very anti rb at 4. But i'd rather almost draft Zeke at 4 then trade for Gurley with the pick. I think Gurley is better but he's a year closer to free agency.

To answer your question: Goff/Wentz (Whichever scouts say is a franchise qb) at 4 or Gurley and the #15 pick ?

Its hard for me to answer that because I'm on the fence if I'm win now mode with Romo or take advantage of picking in the top 5 and grab a franchise QB for the future.

My gut tells me Romo is one hit away from being retired and to set ourselves up for the future with a stud QB.

If my scouts tell me Goff or Wentz is the next franchise QB, the decision is actually pretty easy for me.

I sort of expected most would want more than Gurley and #15 to move up, like maybe add in one of their second rounders. They might actually do this trade if the Rams want a franchise QB and they think one of these two is the real deal and we don't.

If this deal were to happen, depending on the teams involved and how they view Lynch, Lynch could go top 10 and Elliott could slide a little bit.

I better really trust these scouts. And speaking of the scouts for the Cowboys, we draft a QB every ten years or so. How adequate are they at scouting QBs. But that's a whole nother topic.

Yes I would And take Lynch at 15. Won't have to worry about a mid round QB or wasting our 2nd on Henry. Take Bullard, Karl Joseph, or Doctson at 34. Which ever one is their.

In a heartbeat. Gurley showed last year that he can be a great RB in this league while we don't know how anyone taken in the first round will turn out. He's a young back who could be our starter for years to come, plus we still get to pick in the first round.

Yeah, I doubt they would offer Gurley though. He's pretty much their only 'superstar' right now. IF they did (they won't), we'd be dumb to not at least seriously consider it.

Assuming they don't think Wentz or Goff are sure things --and I feel sure they do not--then a young Pro Blowl RB on a cheap contract plus a mid 1st rounder sounds good.
