A lot will be accomplished this weekend.

Philly plays KC in KC
Seattle at Washington
Dallas at Oakland

All 3 games will be wars I think.

I hope Seattle pounds Washington and gives them a reality check...

I'm kinda glad KC gut pounded in Denver because now they are returning home angry and will look to get back on track against Philly.

All we need to do is take care of business, the raiders are a 'good 0-3 team' but I see no reason why we can't go in there and put up 30+ on them, the question is whether or not our secondary is going to wake up....I don't like the prospect of Randy Moss matching up with Anthony Henry though.

I don't understand why yall are on our board, PERIOD... Is your board that dead or slow.

M54,

If you think about it, for the most part, opponent fans bring credit to your message board, it could possibly mean that CBZ stands out from many of the rest, the dialogue here is great, their own message boards (as you say are dead or slow) therefore adding credence to CBZ.

While the CBZ is one of my favorite message boards, I am actually (as are other opponent fans here) a member of other boards, including my franchise-related boards.

Go to your own board and make your comments there. THIS IS A COWBOYS BOARD.

A learned fan of any franchise can tell you that it could get quite boring agreeing with fellow fans all the time. And while it may sting sometimes, it's good to get a different perspective -- you'd be surprised how much I've learned here and other sites -- this Bud is not only for you!

Since I am a Senior Member here, with over 1,300 posts to my credit, someone in charge doesn't agree with you. Indeed, I see that you joined "your own board" only this month -- and 17 posts ago!

You must be closet Boyz fans

Rather that than a "Johnny-Come-Lately" Cowboys fan! BTW -- this is my own board -- I belong here just as much as you do! Spend some time here before you start criticizing the board.

I'd be extremely scared this weekend if I were a Dallas fan.

Will the players have their hearts in it anymore if they lose big? I am not talking a loss like 31-20. More like 45-3. Will the coaching staff feel like coaching anymore? Will they just go through the motions? Will the fans give up? Remember the Green Bay game last year? This is year 3 of Bill Parcells' tenure. Fans will want to know why Dallas still seems to be searching for answers.

It is entirely possible that the end is near.

All signs point to a rout of Dallas. A lucky win last Sunday must make them complacent. Oakland is feeling terrible. They are 0-3. But not at all as bad as they look. They've got good receivers. They've got a servicable QB.

And, Randy Moss licking his chops when he sees tape of Dallas's big play prone secondary.

Dallas season over after game 4? are you kidding or just high? Win or lose this is one game and a game aginst an AFC team which has no tie breaker effect on the outcome of the season. Like any game it is important but no where close to do or die game.

I like Henry on Moss alot, especially after he just came off a real bad game. He will be on his game this week. He has to be physical with Moss.

Your games:

AT KC (very tough place to win)
AT the Bucs (playing well right now)
Chargers (high power offense)
2 games against the Eagles
game versus us

Not to mention the two games they have to play against the Giants...

Huh? Is the question in the title of this post supposed to be considered a serious question? It will be four games into the season, and if Dallas loses they'll be 2-2. How could anyone pose a question such that they're asking if the season will be over?

This is a Commander fan who posted this originally...remember what your dealing with, they are used to the season being over after 4 games so what do you expect them to think.:laugh2:

I know you dont consider me a troll. You and I have our debates from time to time. And we are both confident (although sometimes blindly on both sides) of or respective teams upside.

He may be trolling. I havent read his post history. But this thread does seem to be trollish (if thats a word).

If it wasn't, it is now... and every time somebody uses it, they owe me a quarter... LOL...

As for whether or not he's trolling, just consider that he talked about a 42-3 loss... this despite the Cowboys having the 4th ranked offense in the league, going against the Faiders' 29th ranked defense...

Looking at those stats, how realistic is it to predict the Cowboys would only score 3 points on the Faiders?? Clearly, his was NOT an attempt at serious football discussion, that was pure flame bait... further evidence can be found in the way he seems to have disappeared from this thread altogether... not only is he a troll, he's a "hit and run" type troll...

Anyway, How do you feel about the Eagles and Pats so far this season ?

I think the Iggles are in some trouble with those injuries to McNabb and Akers... Akers will eventually heal up, but I don't think McNabb will be right at any time this season... and I think that if the Iggles try to compensate by going conservative offensively, Westbrook will never last the season, at which point we'll find out if Ryan Moats is the real deal or not (having seen him play a coupla games in college, I think he is)...

As for the Patsies, I figure they'll be there at the end of the season, just like always... they just have too much talent down the line...

Yeah, I work graveyards, so if you see me during daylight hours, it means I'm down with another case of insomnia... which is, as they say, indicative of a guilty conscience...

Good question. He has an obvious agenda.

As I noted in an earlier thread, allowing a jackass troll to post in here just shows the superiority of Cowboys fans vis a vis Commanders fans... apparently, Skins boards feel this need to protect their readers from the possibility of reading a discouraging word, while the powers that be in here trust to the rapier wit of our flame warriors to dispatch such miscreants...

Mind you, I do think there's a line those trolls want to be careful not to cross over, I don't think they're given carte blanche-- which is as it should be... one positive result is that fans of the Skins who wish to engage in serious football talk with us don't feel like they're unwelcome... I know that I could never, ever post to a Skins' message board, because I'd get banned when I went to a factual, stats-based argument that might show their team in a bad light... I'd be labelled a troll, whether I was one or not...

And I LIKE talking with some of those d*mned ol' Skins fans... there are actually some good guys among them... lacking in taste, perhaps, but good guys despite that essential character flaw... :lmao:

S-bear,

This guy has really incited to to a new low. He's obviously using some of his bragging rights to stir up some dialogue. I don't think this guy is a troll, but if he is, troll tactics is not the way to deal with it.

I think all he's after is the stright answers to his questions. Here's what I'm talking about ...read my next post directly responding to his questions, from an Eagles perspective of course.

Sorry, PT, you're just wrong on this one... or do you REALLY think there's a legitimate possibility that the 29th ranked defense can hold the 4th ranked offense to just 3 points??

Nope, had the question been "what happens if the Cowboys lose this game to the Faiders", that would have constituted a serious question (if a bit annoying to Cowboys fans), but when the question is "what happens if the Faiders beat the Cowboys 42-3", then clearly you've got yourself a jackass troll just lookin' to stir the fecal matter...

I'd also note that if it's serious dialogue he's interested in, he sure hasn't been holding up his end since he dropped his flame bait and ran...

As for how to deal with him if he IS a troll, I'd ask you to trust me on this one, as I've been smackin' on those morons for some years now... I have found that treating them like a troll is the ONLY way to deal with them; giving them a serious response to their inflammatory questions plays into their hands, while just holding them up to scorn and ridicule takes the FUN out of their little troll games... even trolls don't like being made to look stupid... this is problematic for them, because of course stupidity is a base requirement for trolling...

Note that I don't consider YOU a troll... and I hope I have never treated you like one...

I always welcome serious fans of other teams, who are interested in talking football with us... it gives us a broader perspective than restricting ourselves to our little clique... I even enjoy a little FRIENDLY smack, from such fans who have proven that they're not trolls...

Merely rooting for another team and posting in here does NOT make you a troll... coming in here just to stir the fecal matter is what makes you a troll... I made a foray over into the Big Blue Wrecking Crew (Giants) board back in preseason, and had an entertaining discussion about Eli Manning, without once getting insulted or insulting anybody else... found a few knowledgeable fans over there, and learned a little something about that team...

Would Dallas' season be over? Not by a longshot.

Taking into account it's week 4 and they'd be a .500 team after a loss...

If any coach believes the season is over after a blowout loss in week 4, then he must doubt his ability to get the best out of his players and shouldn't be coaching.

If any player believes the season is over, then he lacks confidence in his abilities and his teammates abilities. He shouldn't be on the roster and there is a good chance he won't be on the roster much longer. The nice thing about BP is he tries to find players that think the opposite of RedskinsOne. Hence the huge roster turnover in the past 2 seasons.

If any fan believes the season is over, then what kind of fan is he? Maybe he or she should be looking for a new team. Part of being a fan is believing... and I don't mean believing your season is over by week 4.

I don't ever post, but I do read a lot. I enjoy what phx-talon and skinsandterps have to say. Reading commentary from a fan of a rival team is always pleasant when they aren't trying to troll around, so I disagree about this being for cowboys fans only.
