I've been reading up on nfldraftcountdown.com and it's a pretty darn good site. I think I've been able to narrow it down to who could be available for the Cowboys at #22. Assuming we do not trade down (which I wouldn't be against), who would you pick out of these guys at #22?

1. Aaron Ross
2. Chris Houston
3. Dwayne Jarrett
4. Dwayne Bowe
5. Ted Ginn Jr.
6. Robert Meachem
7. Reggie Nelson
8. Brandon Merriweather

I really believe one of these players will be a Cowboy next Saturday. At first I didn't like the thought of this guy, but he actually fits perfectly into our system. The bottom line is that we need more speed at the WR position. Dwayne Jarrett would be another Keyshawn Johnson, and Dwayne Bowe would be another Alvin Harper. We need a gamechanger. A player who can take it to the house everytime he touches the rock. Ted Ginn Jr. is my pick. Look what Devin Hester did for the Bears last season. He single handedly won games! Ginn Jr. can get valuable playing time in 06' but at the same time he won't be rushed into a starting role. Let him learn the system, and have him return kickoffs and punts where he is electric. What about you guys? :starspin

I would take Dwayne Jarrett in a heartbeat. He is the most ready to start of the WRs (outside of Johnson) and would be the best compliment to Glenn in 2008 as most expect Owens to be gone after this season.

Ginn is never going to be a #1 WR in the NFL and most likely will be mostly a STs guy and 3rd WR. You don't spend a 1st rounder on a player like that IMO.

Lots of college return men look great but don't pan out in the NFL. Guys like Devin Hester come along once in a great while and are usually a surprise. I don't like to spend 1st round picks on part time or project players.

Chris Houston. I really think he's going to be an impact player. He would be a good counterpart to TNew. I also think he is a great pick with the scheme we will run. Receivers definately arent going to get the clean releases off the line like we allowed last year. Houston is a good CB who can jam them at the line, disrupt the timing of the offense, which fits right into the "attacking" defense that we will be running.

Nelson would be nice too, but I think he's gone by the time we pick.

I've got 1a. Revis, 1b. Houston and 1c Meachem on my list, but I'd be happy with any of those guys at 22 save Jarrett and Ross. Those two, I'd prefer to see us trade down for if we really want either of them.

Dwyane Jarrett or Ted Ginn Jr.

It really depends on what you prefer, the better WR in the long-run, or the guy who can immediatly come in and win a few games by himself ala Hester

Nelson or Meriweather. Which ever one is thought of the most.

I've begun to think it's best for us to take a CB and take the chance Hamlin or Watkins will work out.

do you think Nelson or Merriweather could play CB for us next season in the Nickel or when teams go 4 or 5 wide on us?

I don't know. Maybe esp Meriweather. There's talk of them doing so. I guess you're thinking of Woodson. Just put the best player in the slot. Could be. Good thought.

I'm guessing they would draft a CB if they were going to use him like that. Give the rookie time to adjust to the NFL while playing the nickel and dime.

But you're asking a great question. The more I think about it the more I like it. You just have to get the right guy for it. I don't know. I would hope Ireland et al have already thought about that.

Meach would have to be the pick -- he's got to be the 2nd WR off the board
