If they clean house in NY, how would feel about Spagnuolo as DC?

So you admit he's better than Marinelli.

That's really the main point here. He shouldn't be the top choice but, at the very least, he'd be an upgrade over Marinelli.

No, it's not the point.

I want to upgrade from what we have. I just don't think that Steve Spagnuolo, with this crew of talent on hand, is going to make a difference.

He's not as good as people think and he needed to get a lot of high priced FA's in order to get the defense where it is.

I'd consider it.

But personally, I would consider Scott Schaffer as much as anybody out there. And they could get him for dirt cheap as well.

Well, he'd have the defense fired up for week 2 each year... lol

Currently D-Coordinator for Middle Tennessee State. Was the HC at Syracuse and was the D-Coordinator prior to that. But has been the D-Coordinator for Stanford, Michigan, etc. After he was fired from the HC job at Syracuse, Maryland hired him to be the DC and then he quit before he started due to personal reasons.

Runs a very aggressive 4-3 scheme that blitzes quite often, but does it very effectively without fundamental flaws in his scheme like Rob Ryan. He was the D-Coordinator for SU when Doug Marrone was HC.

Two questions...does he have a pulse? Does he actually watch film during the week?
If yes to both then yes!
