If Warmack, Richardson, and Vaccaro are there, who do you pick?

I have a feeling most people will say Warmack, because our OL is woeful. But I'm going to go with Richardson, because that dude is a beast and could be the stud of our new defense. If he's there, get an OL & safety in the second and third round.

On thing for sure, the Giants will be runningot the podium to get whcihever one we pass up.

I'd be very happy with Richardson or Warmack, but would lean toward the former. I feel sure that is who dallas would take too. Kiffin would be pumped.

I would take Warmack.

We need DL help but Garrett is so bad at scheming that we need an OLine that can give Romo a lot of extra time in the pocket because of all of the downfield throws we use.

We put so much pressure on our OL and when you don't gameplan around having a bad Oline then you just have a mess like we have had.

If Richardson's character questions check out OK, then he would be the pick. He has the talent to be a top 10 and possibly top 5 pick, but he has some lingering character/mental-makeup questions that the media has not completely flushed out.

Character issues are the most difficult area for draftniks to evaluate because we don't get to interview the players and don't always the full story. Obvious things like failed drugs tests and suspensions are well known, but other mental-makeup questions are often not apparent to the media and fans/draftniks.

The Cowboys have had many draft failures due to poor mental-makeup with players that were never in trouble. Barbie Carpenter didn't like the physicality of the game, but had physical talent and didn't have off-the-field issues. Same for Jacob Rodgers. Robert Brewster didn't like football and Jason Williams couldn't mentally grasp the scheme.

TO is probably the ultimate example of a player with a poor mental-makeup that was not a criminal or drug user.

I wouldn't take Vacarro till the third round.

Warmack vs Richardson is a bit harder. Clearly Warmack is the better player overall, but Richardson plays a bit more of a "Dynamic" position.

The deciding factor for me would be that our top paid QB has never had a good OL in front of him nor a running game (see OL) to help give him a balanced offense.

I'd go with Warmack.

I'd let the d-line/o-line position coaches fight in out in the War Room and the winner makes the pick!

Better yet... let the assistants fight it out.

Leon Lett vs Eric Williams (Williams still an asst OL coach with us?).

I'd call the Giants and try to swindle a 3rd out of them and see which guy is left after moving back 1 spot.

That would be a pay-for-view fight I'd watch! :p:

I don't trust Richardson or Vaccaro to be better than average.

If Richardson was the real deal than this wouldn't even be a debate. You take the D Tackle over the guard.

Since 1 is a guard and 1 is a defensive tackle & Safety than it's a bit of a debate.

He can also look like a guy on skates against a good run blocking OL at times. His game is penetration and he's good at that but when he gets blocked, he gets blocked pretty well a lot of times.

Offense dictates the league now. Our offense is below average until we fix the OL.

Warmack

Our defense is good enough to win championships, our offense is now where close to being able to compete.

Funny.
If they Giants are giving up a 3rd it will be to go up more than one slot and not give that pick to a division rival.
I keep hearing that they really do love Warmack, but whoever knows for sure.

Maybe he and Doug Free should get together and tryout for the Olympic figure skating.

To answer the question, I'm inclined to say Richardson based on positional value, but I wouldn't be displeased with Warmack.

If the Giants like him, we should probably get him. They are much better at drafting OL than we are.
