If we aren't a "good" team then the Giants aren't much better

Wonder what the score would have been had we been missing Ratliff and Spears up front, Newman and Jenkins in the secondary, had both our starting safeties playing hurt and lost DeMarcus Ware for the entire 2nd half.

This was a golden opportunity to get a leg up last night, and this team blew it beyond belief. It was never going to get much easier than last night to beat a key division rival, and they found a way to blow it.

The QB is still the turnover prone enigma that he has been since he got here, and the defense has melted down to the point where right now, today, you can argue we have the worst defense in the NFL.

well i dont exactly consider the giants to be all that good either as i predicted they wouldnt make the playoffs. they looked mediocre against a pathetic Commanders team and looked average against our average team. if they make the playoffs it will be by default because of injuries to the Eagles. i dont think they make the playoffs as a Wildcard team. Whoever makes it from the NFC east will make it as the division winning team with New Orleans, Atlanta, chicago, and the packers fighting for the other wildcard spots/division.

Whatever makes you feel better.

It doesn't take a lot to win in the NFL. It's easier said than done, but all you really need to do is be able to play good defense, run the football and not make game-killing turnovers.

The Giants do that as well as anyone in the league. We don't. We saw that tonight.

The Giants couldn't run the ball, and their defense gave up 31 points.

They won because they passed the ball more efficiently than we did. THAT is what it takes to win in the NFL.

The sad part is the Giants aren't healthy, we are.

This is why a lot of that garbage about how injured the Cowboys were last year, was just that. Tony Romo's injury the only one that caused us to lose games off the top. Felix Jones and Marion Barber were big too, but Barber was replaced effectively by Choice, so his wasn't as big of an excuse.

Aaron Ross out , UDFA corner in. Kenny Phillips banged up but still plays well.

I still believe that Merriweather and Phillips are the ones that got away from us. I was high on there bandwagon coming out of school yet many werent.

Hopefully Jerry trades up for Taylor mays. The way things are going after last night, he wont be trading up far.

If Dallas had won this game on the road with as many injuries as the Giants faced, everyone here would be talking Super Bowl.

No. I think he is saying WE would be talking super bowl if WE had won. I just peeked at their message board. They are talking about how horribly their defense played and how poorly their offense played in the red zone.

:hammer:

Kind of reminds me of the Seattle Playoff Game when they had tour guides and loan officers in the Secondary and we still lost.

As I stated all Offseason, Jerry Jones not giving Wade Phillips a contract extension says it all.

Tonight, they won because they played mistake-free football and passed the ball well. In general, they're the team they are now and were the past couple of seasons because they're the best running team in the league and have one of the best defenses in the NFL. Add that with an offense that plays relatively mistake-free football and it's a recipe for winning. Basically, the opposite of the Cowboys.
