Would it be a crazy thought we sign a reciever such as Tj Housh etc, etc? I wouldnt be suprised that this is not being discussed at Valley Ranch. We can lose Owens and all of the baggage that go with it and take his salary and give it to Housh or somebody like that. I know people will say you still have to pay him when he is released and that will negate signing another reciever, but were talking Jerry Jones and we all know he can afford it. Plus, the cap is so high now you can fit whoever you want under it somehow. Its just a thought. Opinions???

He's one of the best slot guys in the league and that's something our O needs. Doubt we can afford him, but he wants out of Cincy.

If we do cut Owens it is because Jerry finally realizes that Fantasy Football approaches do not give you on the field success. We cut TO and move forward without a major addition. The biggest addition you can hope for is a 2nd round pick.

If for some reason Owens is cut (mistake), Housh is exactly what you DONT want. Dallas is missing the small/quick/fast/squirrell type receiver (D Jackson, T Glenn, S Moss, R Parrish type)

That way, garret may get something out of those WR screens he throws to the Big guys all the time that net 1 yd

I think age plays a factor. TO will be 35 during next season. TJ will be 32 at the beginning of next season. If Dallas wants to get rid of TO I don't think they will replace him with a guy in his 30s. Actually the replacement is already in place with Roy Williams. The goal will be to get a receiver to compliment what Roy brings to the offense.

Owens relies more on his speed than Housh does. Not to mention, he had his best year last season and had to deal with QB issues this year.

so we pay nye on 30 million for two WRs that would be on our roster(Williams,TJ and 9m in dead TO money). Insane idea!!

I don't think we need to make any moves at WR and that includes cutting T.O. when he retires then Austin and Crayton become 2 and 3. Then draft a young guy. Say no to Free Agents

I had that thought myself, but concluded that we probably couldn't afford him...

This is who I wanted us to trade for instead of Roy Williams. I think that a receiving corps of Housh, Austin, Hurd, Crayton, Bennett, and Witten would be more productive.

Oh well, shoulda coulda woulda. I'm still a big fan of Housh.

I'm w/ you on this one. Plus, do you think Garrett would use him correctly?

I heard a lot of folks on here saying that Owens is best in the slot, yet we rarely saw that this year...

Give Miles Austin a chance is what I would do.

He is just asking to explode if we would give him a legit opportunity.
