I like jonathan Williams more than just about any of the rest. If we don't get Zeke that's who I want. He's a local guy too so we can work him out without burning a visit.

I take DJ Foster you get a RB/WR in the 6

The move of Foster to wide receiver from running back for 2015 backfired, and he wasn't close to being the play-maker he was in 2014. In 2015, Foster averaged 5.1 yards per carry for 280 yards. Through the air, he had 59 receptions for 584 yards and three scores. Foster had a dramatic reduction in touches during 2015. For the NFL, he looks more special as a running back who can be a weapon in a passing offense rather than lining up as a wide receiver

What about his speed? I thought he ran a really slow forty, granted the film shows no problems but 4.6 is slow for the NFL. anyone hear of an issue for the slow time?

He actually does. Not that either of us are saying he'll be Curtis Martin (obligatory). He's got that economy of motion. Nice cuts, and then puts his head down and drives.

He's so smooth.

I like him but all indication are that we are not drafting a RB this year.We only brought in EE and i doubt we even take him at 4.

Yep
The deepest positions in the draft figure to be DT and RB
We sighed potential starters for both in FA so that we can safely ignore the high impact cheap players draft picks can bring

The idiocy of this FO is tough to duplicate

we bought in D..J. Foster, running back/wide receiver, Arizona State

Foster is the kind of versatile player . He started his college career at running back before moving to wide receiver in his senior season. He finished his college career with 444 carries for 2,355 yards with 18 touchdowns and 222 receptions for 2,458 yards with 14 touchdowns.

Foster could serve as a slot receiver or third-down back for the Patriots.

Not necessarily super important for a running back. Change of direction drills probably are a bigger deal. Le'Veon Bell only ran a 4.6, but he's also much bigger so.... yeah.

Like I said he does not look slow on the field and does have some great hands and moves to go with running style. Not sure Marshall Faulk comes to mind but would make for a difficult decision on the backfield personnel. I see the RB we recently signed from the Commanders as a great match for our offensive line, I am looking forward to some NFC matchups.

Jordan Howard would be a great pick up in later rounds (3-5th). He graded the same as demarco murray but is slightly bigger at 230lbs. Nfl live described him as the most powerful rb in this years draft.

Love Howard. As I said, I will gladly take one of these TBs - Dixon, Howard, Prosise, Booker - in no particular order.

Kid looks like a heck of a player and some of the catches he made looked like WRs catching in the end zone.

He started as a 6th-7th round prospect to rocketing up to the 2nd round on some mocks and some draft boards.

@windward is the first person to turn me on to him towards the end of last season. His tape is impressive -- runs like a pro style running back and has great hands. Would like to have him instead of Lance Dunbar to start, and then let he and Alfred Morris compete for the starting gig in 2017 after McFadden's contract expires.

Some of those routes and catches did not look like a RB type routes. They looked like WR routes and catches. Really impressed with him out of the backfield.

I think there are probably better backs for just running the ball...but Dixon sure is impressive in the passing game.

Absolutely. And anybody seems to be able to run behind this line.

Dixon's my kind of RB. Good balance and vision, nice cuts, and just a hard runner. Not an athletic freak, but just a good all-around football player.
I think I like CJ Prosise better and he can be had in the third.

I think you might be thinking of Collins from Arkansas

He does have some ball security question marks going into the draft.

Dixon is short of elite speed or power, but he is a well-rounded player who could become a three-down starter in the NFL. Dixon does need to improve his ball security as he had 13 fumbles in college.

I like Prosise too but top of the 3rd might be too rich for him. He is a very good athlete but he's still pretty raw as a TB. Good hands and is a decent blocker, though.

Have we even visited with Prosise or scheduled visit?

I like him, too. There are good backs out there. I don't think we'll have trouble finding one in those middle rounds.

Don't think we've had him in for a visit. Seems like we are pretty high on Perkins though
