Apparently their is no one else besides Wade or Garrett.

Anyone notice how rookie Rex Ryan with a rookie QB now have more playoff wins than Wade and Romo? Rather pathetic.

Last year, it was:

" Can we go back in time and keep Tony Sparado ? "..

wonder what happened to that genius..???

Rex Ryan has the jets in the AFC championship game with a very mediocre roster. Wade has 1 playoff win in 3 years with one of the best rosters. We made a mistake not trying to bring Ryan in.

Why is a "seemless transaction" (good Lord) necessary?

What Dallas has doesn't work. Continuing to do what has never worked before (Wade Phillips) and expecting it to suddenly work is a bit far fetched at this point. How many years does he get to prove he can't get it done in the post season?

So, basically, whomever you hire, has a time table to win the Superbowl. Mind you, not a playoff game ( which Phillips has won ), not a division ( which he's won - 2 of them - too ), but a Superbowl. Ok, let's go with that.

Your new hired coach has 3 years to win the Superbowl, using the same time table you're giving Phillips.

Fire Phillips, hire whomever you want right now. When that coach does NOT win the Superbowl, fire him and hire somebody else. And keep doing that every 3 years until you win the Superbowl.

Is that, pretty much, your idea of how the Cowboys should be managed ?

I was just wondering what your ideas were, not that I agree with or want the same coaching staff, why bash a post

Who would be the defensive coordinator

Who would be the head coach

Who would be the offensive coordinator

What coach or coaches would get them over the hump

Probably tight ends coach too is garrett is gone

I dont know who would fit our system and make a seemless transaction, since the time is now

Ron Rivera and who ever he fills his staff with

John Gruden I am not sure how I feel about him but I think he is a good coach. he did win under Al Davis

How about Mike Zimmer even with all injuries on Defense held real well all season and also he is a very good Motivator. Then Norv back OC. Mort said Jerry could work with him.

While it depends I have no faith in Wade never have so that is a big difference. Sometimes you just have to pull the ripcord

Sparano took an almost talentless team to the playoffs last year,

Sparano led a VETERAN team to a wildcard loss AT home last year on the back of THE easiest schedule in the league.

and stayed in contention this year with basically a rookie QB and his best offensive weapon hurt.

2nd year QB and Ronnie Brown didn't get hurt until the 9th game of the season. Of course, he WAS 4-5 with " his best weapon healthy ".

Look at their roster vs. ours. Parcells started rebuilding almost from scratch.

Parcells didn't start from " scratch ". He has just as much, if not more, talent he had in Dallas when he got there in 2003

I'd take their staff over ours any day of the week.

You would ?

Your idea is to keep the fat man with a long history of failure, because, God forbid that we should slide backwards from what we saw today?

1-5. Enough said. Winning a WC game really shows something?

This team still needs significant changes. It's obviously not good enough, as constituted, right now. We're stuck with the bulk of the roster. The only place to make major changes is with the coaching staff.

What we're doing doesn't work. They have to try something else.

That's the problem with coaches like Wade. They do just enough to keep their job, or get another one, but they never go all the way, or in Wade's case, past the divisional round.

Wade is now 1-5 in the playoffs. Rex Ryan, is now 2-0 in his first year as HC. Yeah, we should just bring Wade back and even give him a mult-year extension.

Given enough time he did finally get his first playoff win, so maybe with enough time he can finally get past the divisional round and then maybe to the Super Bowl and then maybe win it all. Now if we'll all just be alive long enough to see it.

My idea is not to make a knee jerk reaction when there's actually been progress.

Yes, it did.. It showed 2 things:

1) An accomplishment that hasn't been earned around this parts since 1996.

2) Something your favorite coach from down here hasn't done, yet you'd take him anyways.

This team still needs significant changes. It's obviously not good enough, as constituted, right now. We're stuck with the bulk of the roster. The only place to make major changes is with the coaching staff. What we're doing doesn't work. They have to try something else.

Of course.. Every 3 years, if there's NO Superbowl, try something else.

so let's fire Wade.. BUT, when the Chargers fire Norv for those very same reasons, Jerrah better not even give him the time of day..

Norv is not the greatest head coach but I would not mind seeing him here as OC. He is one of the best OC's ever.
