Don't get me wrong, Romo is a good QB, but not great. This team as is needs a great QB. With a better supporting cast Romo can certainly win a SB.

But at 32, and with the "choke" label, 2nd round pick for Romo is all you can expect. Perhaps throw in a future pick also.


If Luck is so NFL ready why would you sit him ? Ready is ready to me.
Trade the pick and you certainly have a chance to win a SB within Romo's window...but then you have no QB... all over again.

People who actually watch him play every game and understand football do not consider him a choker. He is a top 7 QB in the league and is the 2nd highest rated passer in NFL history. The choke thing is for the media and the uneducated fan. If you don't think a team that feels it is a "QB away" would trade at least a 1st round pick for a guy like Romo (who likely has a few more great years left in him), you know nothing about football nor Romo's abilities as a QB. Go back to your board if this is the nonsense you're going to spew. And while you're at it, go find a starting QB for your own team that could hold Romo's jock .

Not sure if srs. Romo is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. We could get a lot for him.

You wouldn't get more than a one, and I doubt it would be in top half....he's 32.

Peyton Manning may be the best ever, but no one would give a #1 pick.

I'm not trying to start another anti-Romo thread, although it's probably going to go there. But I think the hypothetical has some validity because, in reality, the Colts are facing this very same dilemma. I think the Colts still would be facing the same dilemma even if Peyton Manning were healthy.
