Is Parcells a gonner for next year? Lets say we go 7-9 and don't even get close to the playoffs, does Jerry keep Parcells or might Parcells just bow out? I don't know, sorry to bring this up, it was just something on my mind.

I say no way.

It will take some time to acclimate into the 3-4 and to acclimate the rookies. This is not the year.

I would like at the next 2 years.

I think barring major injuries, yeah...anything less than playoffs and BP is gone one way or another

Jones didnt shell out the $$$ he did to see another stinker of a season

Everyone knows I don't like Parcells, but I know I wouldn't want to be the guy who fired him from his last NFL job before the HOF....and I sure wouldn't want to be the one who fired Bill after 3 seasons unless I was damned sure my team was going to do better the next season.

NO way JJ fires BP...ever.

BP may walk, but no way JJ fires him.

A losing season wouldn't be a reason to fire him. BP would have to do somthing to really piss JJ off.

BP finishes out his contract. He's here for this year and next regardless.

Its Parcells job till Parcells says so. Hes still cleaning Joneses mess up and Jones knows it.

Jerry Jones obviously doesn't care about firing future HOFers... have you forgotten Landry?

I disagree. Parcells has never a "retired" after having a losing season. I think he'll retire when he gets the team on the right track. If we win and win a playoff game or two, then I'll be worried that he might retire.

I haven't forgotten. And neither has Jones, which is why he won't fire BP.

7-9 is my prediction, but Bill sticks around at least one more year.

How could we go 7-9 and not be close to the playofs in the NFC?

heh, the NFC might be better this year, :D , its purely an "if" scenario

Oh heck no. If next season is a bust too, then they may just agree to not renew his contract whether he wants to stick around or not.

Yeah baby!! :hammer: POTD!!!!

I honestly think he will sign a 2 year extension with Dallas and retire after that. The man has a fire that means he will not walk away from a loser(just like Landry wanted to do). I think he is happy here with Jones at this point in his career and wants to see this thing through with the young guys. The look on his face on the sidelines monday night with Ware told it all. These young guys energize him.

I agree here. I think BP will come back next year, as will Bledsoe, and then we need to figure out how to right this ship for the future at both HC and QB which is one of the reasons I didn't want BP here to begin with. His short tenure and attitude towards young QB's has ultimately stunted our growth when it comes to the QB position. The Testaverdes and Bledsoes of the worlds can't play forever.

Parcells will start a young QB if he has one that can play. Where on our roster do you see one ready to even step foreword? What we have according to our GM is a franchise QB who hasnt played football in years.

We had a team with so many holes to fill when Parcells got here we couldnt draft a qb. Jones has stunted our QB growth with his Carters, Hutchinsons and more likely than not our Henson. Thats a lot of time for a college QB to learn and start. With out those experiments we could be sitting pretty at QB.

oh yeah...we could have been set with guys like Akili Smith, Cade McNown, David Klingler or Tim Couch
