As much as I wanted to see us finally address FS, I think we drafted Jones to be a CB. If you look at the draft each year, teams covet those big CBs. A guy like Ifo Ekpre-Olumu would have been a top 5 pick most years but he's a 3rd/4th round prospect because he's only 5'9". Byron Jones is 6'1" but set a record for jumping and outjumps 6'4" WRs on the regular.

Wilcox will not play CB.

Not a chance in hell. Wilcox is basically and undersized linebacker. We got Jones to make up for the lack of coverage Church and Wilcox have.

He actually has cover ability (TEs and RBs) and has been progressing quite well. He would be a better SS than Church imo and Church is more the LB type.

Well I guess if Jones doesn't work out at CB after a couple of years, then when Church's contract is up, they could put Jones back there with Wilcox.

I'd keep Church, but have him compete with Wilcox. But as much as I would love to see Jones at safety, I think we use him at CB.
