If we put B. Jones at FS could Wilcox play CB?

I think B. Jones is more of a free safety. Does Wilcox have the athletic potential to play CB?

They're starting with Jones at corner and he will stay there until Claiborne proves he can play. Whichever is the best combination -- Claiborne(at corner)/Jones(at safety) compared to Jones(at corner)/Wilcox(at safety) -- will win out. They're just trying to get the best players on the field, but in no situation does it make sense to have Jones at safety and Wilcox at corner.

If Jones was to play FS Wilcox would play SS and Church would play for someone else.

He would be a top backup and the big nickel. No need to let him go. Despite Eatman and others stupidly claiming pro bowl consideration he is more valuable on the team than anything we could get for him and he is cheap cheap cheap.

LOL I see Wilcox playing linebacker first before corner. Maybe they finally make Church the nickle linebacker during passing downs and move Wilcox to strong.

Having Jones I think gives Dallas options.

He actually has cover ability (TEs and RBs) and has been progressing quite well. He would be a better SS than Church imo and Church is more the LB type.

I completely agree. If we're INCLUDING Church Wilcox is not the worst cover guy we have. I don't hate Wilcox, but he has to make the leap this year, or he's just another small school project that didn't translate.

Agree, he had some rough moments early in the season but looked a lot better at the end of the season. I think Jones is our 3rd CB rather than a FS, but if they do put him at FS I would move Wilcox to SS and Church into a backup role on specific packages.
