If (when) Dan Quinn leaves? Really? Why can’t we EVER just live in the moment or enjoy the journey? Why must we always stress about future possibilities? Cap space, trades, injuries, the draft, officiating, circumstance—so many variables, so many possibilities, in a business that changes drastically from year to year, and virtually none of it affected by anything the fans say or do. I know, I know, we’re here to speculate, discuss the possibilities, share ideas, etc., but it just seems like sometimes too many people simply can’t RELAX!

Is there an assistant coach on staff that would replace Quinn?

Or would we have to go looking outside the organization? Wonder if Eberflus would come back if he were to get let go. He did excellent as the DC in Indianapolis. Seems like the Bears are in a rebuild already.

Big Mike talked Jerry into hiring Nolan.

when DQ leaves, it gets bad quick.

Al Harris has done an excellent job . The secondary hasn’t looked this good in yrs . Or George Edwards. Jerry should go internal . Eberflus isn’t going anywhere they just hired him in Chicago , That was a rebuild when they hired him , really they are no better then Detroit .
Whitt coaches the secondary. Harris coaches CB's.

Whitt is most likely to be the replacement if Quinn leaves

Didn't he sign a new contract in the offseason? He gets paid like a head coach and he made the promise to Parsons that he wouldn't leave him. So I don't know why he would leave to accept more responsibility for just maybe a little bit more money. It's not worth it.

We had the same discussions about Kellen Moore six weeks into last year. Nobody can be happy with the current state, you always have to be worrying about the future. Let's just relax.

Quinn didn't seem to enjoy being a Head Coach based on interviews of him.

Jerry will likely ask him, “what will it take to keep you here?

Quinn loves it here, loves his role, the only thing left is more money and the title “HC”. I imagine he’d still handle the D, and hire his choice of OC. Delegate.

Eberflus ran a very vanilla scheme. Has done well as a head coach so far, but his defensive scheme is not what is needed here. Fangio would be the way to go

He would make a good choice
Im guessing he would prefer to stay an be promoted as opposed to be Quinns DC. It would be his defense here, and Quinns if he followed him

Durde could be a nice in house candidate too. Although im not a huge fan of how he is playing his DE's in the run
