If Wide Receiver Dwayne Jarrett on the board at 22, what do Cowboys do?

I let Mike Williams pt 2 fall to #23

the only WR I would draft on day 1 is Anthony Gonzalez.

that being said, I want defense in the first.....either DEOLB Jarvis Moss, FS Michael Griffith, or CB Aaron Ross

Jarrett and Williams both played at SC that is were the comparison stop though. Jarrett is far and away better then Mike Williams ever was.

Passing on Jarrett at #22, or even not moving up a couple of slots if he's there, would be insane.

He really took his game to another level this year, more physical and he makes the catch in traffic and takes it away from DB's, not to mention he does get great separation and was not shut down by any good CB's that I know of...he always got open and made plays, not to mention he's very good with YAC.

He hasn't reached his peak yet either...another year in college would have benefitted him, but getting him in the bottom 3rd of round 1 would be a steal.

In 3 years, he owns all the important receiving records and has more TD's than anyone to play there...that includes a lot of guys.

I really like this wide receiver and I believe he could be coached up into one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. I think we should draft him.

i dont. id take robert meachem or dwayne bowe before jarrett. you can quote me on that. i just have a feeling bowe and meachem will be better.

Larry Csonka 6'3
Eric D!ckerson 6'3
Eddie George 6'3

Jim Brown 6'2
Marcus Allen 6'2
OJ Simpson 6'2
Franco Harris 6'2
John Riggins 6'2
Ottis Anderson 6'2

Christian Okoye 6'1
Bo Jackson 6'1

These are just a few of the tall guys who have made a huge impact at RB....so it can be done
Ok. So how many decent running backs in the past decade have been 6'1" or taller? Looks like just one.

That's about what I thought.

Cowboys wouldnt take a OL (in the first round) if Joe Thomas fell to number 22 they could always use more playmakers on offense. Plus the WRs are pretty old i dont see Jarrett falling this far but i could see the Cowboys taking a look at a Sidney Rice, Dwayne Bowe, Robert Meachum (sp?), or maybe even a Ted Ginn Jr. if they if he starts falling and they move up. Who better to replace Terry Glenn with than Terry Glenn

Best case scenario, Cowboys trade there pick to pick up another first rounder in next years draft.

Then next year trade Julius Jones and two first round picks and a 2nd to the holder of the first round pick. To Get McFadden
dumbest, most far-fetched idea Ive heard in years.

If he is the BPA on our board at 22 remaining we should take him, if someone else is rated above him and still available we take that player....stick with your value board!

Dwayne Jarret is a playmaker. But he's also a total ********. Anyone who saw the Rosebowl knows this.

I would be alot happier if Ted Ginn fell to the Cowboys. Can that happen or would hell freeze over first? Ginn is the perfect future number 1 WR. With the new rule emphasis on touching the receiver, I wouldn't mind trading up for him.

Dwayne Jarrett is more durable and physical than Ted Ginn. Mike Williams could be good if he had the personel there at Detroit to enhance him. I believe in the right system Mike Williams is a pro bowler.

The type of offense that Detroit runs is a bomb-passing offense and Mike Williams is a short catcher not long deep out catcher.

I believe Dwayne Jarret will be faster.:starspin

Jarrett is Mike WIlliams part deuce, will probably run the same time

Willing to put a wager on that?

Williams ran a 4.59 and 4.61, just so you know. Jarrett will likely run in the low 4.5's.

Not to mention Williams is about 25 pounds bigger, their hardly the same WR.

Yep, like when Jarrett caught that pass and gave the ball to the defender (don't remember his name)... totally uncalled for.

Trade up for Lynch (or Peterson but I think Lynch will make a bigger impact in the long run) or take Daymeion Hughes at 22.

With Lynch being charged with sexual assult no need to trade up for him anymore his stock will fall

Agreed. It's a pretty bad comparison other than saying the went to the same university, which is enough for some people.

so Jarrett is 200lbs.? Mike Will was 225, and I'm not sure what Jarrett is going to run, just think his times will be similar to BMW's aka not very fast

From what I can tell Williams was listed at 229. That's probably on the low side. I've heard he's been up to 250 in Detroit.

Jarrett is listed right now at 215. That may change at the Combine, but I doubt it goes up to the 230 range of Williams. I also doubt Jarrett runs a mid 4.6 like Mike either.

I cannot comprehend how anyone would take Ted Ginn before they would Dwayne Jarrett.

It is absolute insanity.

If Jarrett is there at 22 you take him.

When did he get charged? Big difference between charged and accused.

Not sure we can pass judgement on the guy without the facts.
