If WR/RB rookie talent is solid, trade Murray and TWilliams

Seriously, if Byrd Newsome, Street and Ryan Williams really are that good, keep the rookies and trade away promising offensive talent for some equally promising talent along the defensive line and at linebacker.

It would hurt to lose players like that, but the defense needs something. Otherwise this high talent offense, no talent defense is going to be picking #1 in the draft next year.

After watching the offensive line tonight, it doesn't seem that they are going to score enough to keep games close. We're looking at multiple embarassing blowouts if Dallas doesn't rebalance this team.

Which team is in need of a RB and has a DL we would want?

I'd rather excel at two positions than be mediocre across the board.

Cutting Byrd and Newsome could be a mistake, too. The way they're playing, Dallas still would excel at WR.

There is only one ball.

It's easy to fall in love with the sparkly WR position during pre-season. It's a mistake to carry more than 5 -- they have too much need elsewhere.

I don't think anybody is under any illusions that a quick fix will help this year. Realistically, after a defensive draft and some money freed up for a free agent or two, next year is where we will start to jell. This year is going to be painful, but hopefully, the offensive line grows, players develop and we start loading up for the future.

The big question mark then remains, can Romo stay healthy until we get there.

Would rather keep Murray and Williams and cut Byrd, Newsome, Street and Ryan Williams

Street and Williams are going to make this roster by the way.

I think theyre also forgetting ryan williams' track record. He does less and is just as injured as Murray. More fragile even.

I'd be on board with trading Murray (he is a FA next year) and I really like Ryan Williams.
But I wouldn't trade TW, he'll be a good one.

If they get a 1st or 2nd round for Murray I would do it. I don't think they will resign him unless he gives Dallas a huge discount.
