they have been working on that bridge forever. Treasure Island is the Southt side and Madeira Beach is the North side. Sometimes we would be on hte boat and ready to go out and the bridge would not go up and everybody would have to go home. And there were times coming back in the bridge would not raise leaving the passengesr on the boat all night. (i did not get to expereince that) The restaurant bar is Gators on the Pass. That would be a good place for Tomson to think about too. It is wild on Saturday night during College football season. Casino boats have been going out of there for the past 15-17 yrs sometimes both sides and sometimes one side. I wonder why anybody would want to go out there now to gamble when the Hardrock is now open. The gaming is the same except for roulette and craps.

Yea, Gators....I haven't been in there in years but you're right, that place would be a great spot to spend a college football saturday.


I'm not a gambler but I can see why someone would take the boat instead of the Hard Rock.....DUI. If you're staying in St. Pete or on any of the beaches, it's a long haul north to the casino. The bridge is a dangerous mix of grannies going 40 and people doing 90. I can honestly say that driving the bridges in the Tampa area might be the worst thing I've ever experienced.


Between watching fender benders at the airport exit going north and cars rolling over on the bend by Tropicana Field going south to feeling like driving up the side of a building on the Skyway......

still have to drive when you get off the boat. And they serve drinks until just a few minutes of docking.

I have done both and the down time of going out and coming back on the boats are killers. Sometimes over three hours that you can't do anything except drink and I don't drink. And if the Gulf is kicing up waves it is real fun. It looks like a hospital ward with all the sick people.
