Or nobody inspires to sing country leaving the few to reign

I know right?

'Cause people like Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow, Bob Dylan or the like would never ever want to be associated with country music.

The number of people wanting to cross over into country and being denied is quite telling. Even P Diddy wanted to do something with of all people George Jones at one time but George respectfully (and correctly) turned him down.

The money in CM is more stable and more free flowing. In addition it has a much more loyal fan base across the genre than any other type of music which lends to the longevity of the artists.

While other genres have some long running acts, they are more the anomaly than the rule. I mean you can go to the Grand Ole Opry on a Friday night and see a guy named Little Jimmy Dickens who has been performing for more than sixty years still doing it and fans still loving it. Only time you see that in other genres is when the Stones roll out for their geriatric tour every three or four years.

My wife watches it but only because she feels the need to finish it after starting. I caught a part of an episode she watched last night and heard some girl absolutely butcher "Ring of Fire". That was all I needed to see, I'll never watch again.

She did a great rendition of that song. No, it wasn't the same but that is what was good about it. It wasn't butchered. It wasn't disrespectful to the original version and it stayed true to the melody. Unlike what Adam Lambert did to it and others.

I disagree, but that is okay. I don't watch any of the music show, from American Idol and X-Factor to Glee. I like my music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s be it rock, country, or pop. I find that these shows do. Great disservice to the old songs and performers I love.
