Would you consider entering the supplemental draft and allow the Cowboys to select you?
What pros and cons do you all see?

I dont know enough about the supplemental draft to say. I assume the amount of money you can make as a player drafted in the supplemental draft is far less than what I would get in the first round as a top RB? And do you have a say in who drafts you in the supplemental draft?

I think depending on the pick used to get you... you get paid roughly the same, though that is the gamble, and any player doing that won't have combine video, senior bowl video, pro day video, etc.... so the Cowboys would be taking a big gamble as well.

A player can't just decide to enter the supplemental draft. It has to be a junior who didn't declare early, but lose their eligibility to play before their senior season and the supplemental draft date to be able to enter into it.

Are you sure? Can someone find this out because if I am a top Junior like DeVante Booker and I think Dallas would use their number one then I am entering now.

How does going into the supplemental draft give a player a better chance of going to Dallas?

Why not just stay the course, since the odds are the same?

Okay, so you get someone to judge Dallas' interest and see where they would take you. If it's acceptable to you, you simply do something that makes you ineligible for next season and turn yourself in. It seems like a huge gamble that I doubt any player would be willing to take.

It's all about round and money. If a RBwas good enough to be drafted in the top 2-3 rounds, he would have entered the real draft. At this point, they are more excited about maybe earning first round money than getting with the Cowboys in a lower round of the supplemental draft.

For all of those knocking it lets just say that DeVante Booker spoke with Jerry and Jerry told him he would use the first round in the supp draft to take him.

1. He gets a 1st round contract
2. He gets to run behind arguably the best offensive line
3. He gets a HUGE second contract
4. He gets to go to Americas Team

For those inept of google searches at this time...I found this....

The Supplemental Draft, is designed to allow underclassmen --who did not petition the league for early entry before the NFL Draft deadline but find themselves ineligible for the upcoming college season

5. Jerry loses multiple draft picks and money for tampering with the player.

This thread is silly.
