Love the outside the box thinking, but it's far from foolproof as there will be 26 teams picking ahead of us.

Instead, how about if we start recruiting kids out of middle school and stash them away in a secret facility to keep them away from recruiters and colleges. When they become eligible for the draft, no one will have heard of them so we could get them on cheap udfa contracts.

Better yet, we can take things a step further by creating them in the lab....only seeds from all pros and olympians need apply.

I realize this doesn't help us this year, but think about the dynasties we can build in the future. It's this kind of outside the box thinking that will keep us relevant for years to come.

first off, Unless a running back of the quality of a Gurley or Gordon has some kind of academic issue, then why would he want to enter the supplemental draft, his stock wouldn't be very high especially when a slew of good running backs were taken during the recent draft limiting the bidding pool of teams looking for a back and second, and no team is going to use a high supplemental draft pick on him, maybe a sixth or seventh rounder, therefore he wouldn't get the money value in return, compared to if he stayed in school and developed a resume to increase his stock for next years draft..

Would you consider entering the supplemental draft and allow the Cowboys to select you?
What pros and cons do you all see?

Not possible. A player would have to get in trouble and lose eligibility in order to be the in supplemental draft.

We need a contest to see who can come up with the most ridiculous RB thread. Last year it was the DL which had some near the ledge.

The contest hasn't even started and I'm pretty sure we just had our winner.

That Kosar situation was rather unique. Kosar's agent had orchestrated a trade between Cleveland and Buffalo that guaranteed the Browns would have the number 1 pick in the 1986 draft, which is the same thing as having the #1 pick in the 1985 supplemental draft. Kosar wanted to play for the Browns and no other team could jump in front of the Browns to get him in the supplemental draft.
