If you are smart, you trade up a bit to get Levis

Trading up in the first round to get Levis has to be one of the top five dumbest comments I’ve ever read on this board and that’s saying a lot with some of the stupidity that’s posted here. There’s a number of teams that need a QB that passed on Levis. The Cowboys would have looked stupid taking him at 26 much less trading up for him. The fans in Philly would’ve been laughing their ace off. Lol Just be thankful some of the fans on this board don’t run the team.

Hey, it's thinking outside the box, and not a totally stupid idea.

I'd say a serious discussion last night would be warranted.

Get ready for a run on QBs in round two.

I said it last night, I would rather draft Levis than pay Dak another 40-50 million dollar deal. It is just due diligence at this point to get him if you can. If Dak can't win the big game then there is no reason to pay him 40-50 million - it is just useless.
Levis couldn’t make the field at Penn State. He’s buff, and a strong runner, but that’s about it.

There’s clearly a reason Levis has fallen…heard on NFL Network he didn’t seem very accountable and pointed fingers during his meetings.

I assume he meant trading up in the second round since this post was made today. I’m new, does that still make the top 5?

Yeah, now that I see the comment was in his thread title I’m sure he did. However, trading up for him in the second round would still be real stupid.

That would’ve been an absolutely stupid move to use our first round pick on a QB but I figured one of the Dak detractors would want to take Levis after he began to fall. Trading up for him would’ve been beyond stupid! Glad you don’t run the team.
Written today-trade up into the second for those with not that great comprehension skills

I'm still wondering what the argument in thee war room was all about.

So you think it is smart to pay a qb 40-50 million if they cant get you to the Superbowl?
Like it or not, it's not going to get any cheaper. Decent QB's demand 50+ million per year and they're getting it.

I started a thread on Levis that got moved to the draft forum. But if the guy was #1 on BPA, how do we justify passing on him? In the 35 years since drafting Troy Aikman, has there never been an occasion when the top player on our draft board in the first round was a quarterback? Did we have Marcus Spears rated ahead of Aaron Rodgers? Does BPA apply to the most important position, or not.

IF we're never going to move up to get one, and we don't take the ones that fall to us, then we're permanently shopping the bargain bin.

Levis was either the top guy or close to. I'd like a reporter to ask that.
