I think Armstrong is legit. Taco is a bust. They must sign Lawrence. I love the idea of Ware coming in as a specialist and them finding an interior meat eater in rounds 2 or 3.

In the context of the question posed in this thread I would take Witten. Why? Ware wrong scheme and Romo brittle.

Ware pretty much played rush DE in the 34 under Parcells so I don't really think that would matter much. The real question, to me would be, which one would be in condition to actually play?

Maybe a younger D. Ware could hold up as an every down 4-3 guy but he was always more suited for that 3-4 OLB.

He could bend the edge like nobody else.

Back in the day, teams used to bring vets in a lot and use them as pass rush specialists for the playoff run and/or in the playoffs.

I remember in the early 80s, Fred Dean (a pass rush specialist) started the year with the Chargers and was moved mid season to San Francisco. He was brought in specifically to get them to the playoffs and further. Worked too because that's the year that San Fran beat the snot out of Cincy I believe so it had to be like 1980/81.
