If you could trade Micah for any player in the league, who would it be?

Nope that just means I would have went from Troy Aikman in 1999 to Tom Brady in the 2000 draft.

Oh you would have been the one to pick Tom Brady in the first round even though he went 199th overall.

I’d probably trade him for Mahomes or Allen. That’s about it. An elite QB takes this team to the Super Bowl, even without Micah.

I'd give up Parsons in a heartbeat with little to no thought for Mahomes or Allen. Might even do it for Trevor Lawrence since there is great upside there.

That's a fine choice if you are going for a short window. Since this is about trading Parsons, you would need someone who is going to give you high level play & longevity in return.

Im not trying to change your opinion. No doubt Parson elevates a defense...but we are stacked across the board on defense. I get the longevity angle...but QB is the most important position in football and, imo, Aaron Rogers does it at one of the highest levels. If you make that trade today...all things equal...I think you win at least 2 of the next 3 Super Bowls. I dont think you can confidently say you think we win 2 of the next 3 right now and Im a Dak supporter.

KC would never trade young Mahomes because the position is too important. No team in KC's spot would. Parson is amazing...but QB is too important. The only way to get equal or more value out of a Parson trade is by acquiring a QB with him...and no ones trading a young good QB for a defensive player. But an older elite QB a team might.

Im ride or die with Dak and this defense...but Rogers skills would take this team to crazy heights.

In trades salary (and to a lesser extent age) matters, which is why we didn't get much for Cooper. Taking salary into consideration I'm not so sure I would trade him for Mahomes or Allen. The only guy I would for sure would be Herbert.

Patrick Mahomes
Josh Allen
Justin Herbert

As fantastic as Parsons is, having a young franchise QB is too hard to pass up

But no team is giving up a young QB with a lot of upside for Parsons. So it doesnt make sense to talk about. Youre only winning a trade in which you are giving up Parsons by acquiring an older seasoned vet QB with the hopes of winning a few Super Bowls in a short time frame. Trying to equal the trade out by getting a young player with many years left you are probably losing the trade because Parson a beast. Elite older QB seems to be the only way you could breakeven on a Parson trade

The question of the thread was

If you could trade Micah for any player in the league, who would it be?

I'm just answering the question. I agree that those teams would not trade their QB's for Parson's. Which validates my point.

I wouldn't trade Parson's for an elite, older QB. I want 10-12 minimum years of QB production to make it worth my while.

While that is true, if these franchise QB's don't have a good defense, they will not get very far.
The single, most important player to getting to a Super Bowl is a QB.

A elite, franchise QB is not the only way to get there, but it's the easiest

Give me one of those 3 guys, take away Parson's and I am closer to a Super Bowl than I am today. That's why I would make the deal. And why KC, Buffalo and the Chargers would not.

Its amazing how "Great," the talent became on the chiefs and bills as soon as those QBs became elite(which was the day Mahomes arrived).

AR would definitely put this team in prime position in the short term.
