No unproven back who you're gonna be forced to sell the farm for is worth two #1's and Roy is good, but he's not that good.

That being said, if I "HAD" to, I'd choose Roy cause he's proven he can play his position at a high level and with T.O. on the other side of the field, his value would be even greater.

Well the Lions arent asking for 2 #1s for RW so its a hypothetical question. Giving up 2 #1s or a WR is a huge gamble.

He better be in the top 5 in the league.

So I would go with McFadden bc he will touch the ball more than 6-8 times a game.

out of these two... who would you choose?

Darren McFadden RB

or

Roy Williams WR

I wouldn't, but I guess that wasn't one of the options.

Last I heard, the rumor was the Lions might trade RW for a 2nd round pick...how does that turn into two 1st round picks is beyond me.

That wasn't the question he was asking. Let's say Dallas HAS to pick one of the two, which one would it be. That being said, I pray that Dallas doesn't do either. But if they have to, I would say McFadden.

"The Cowboy Fan Zone"

..do do do do..do do do do..

(Rod Serling with hands folded in front of him in black suit)

for your consideration, picture if you will..a professional football team owner..

..so obsessed with a single player that he must own him, possesses him, over pay for him..

..and yes..even let his daughter marry him if it seals the deal..

..to win a SB.

This obsession also risks the eventual complete downfall of his entire franchise he just rebuilt if this player turns into another Julius Jones..

..instead of Super McFadden.

Can he make the right decision and will he be able to live with his decision if it fails..?

At risk is his 5 years invested in high draft picks, FA signings and luxurious new contracts to current stars and coaches and he needs to fill up a huge multi-billion dollar new stadium with overpriced seating coming online in about a year.

..add to that, he has previously overpaid a former HC almost $4 million/yr to win not a single playoff game and yet who now pimps in Miami and has stolen more than half his front office and coaching staff in the last 30 days, so that investment is now up in smoke.

And now this..do you covet a certain RB who has stardom written all over him, but it's going to force you to mortgage any reasonable future from there out unless he is the next Jim Brown.

This poor owner has endured all this...just to get back into the elite of the NFL.

Some would say..this obsession for this RB has the feel of a deal with the Devil himself it it happens.

Is it possible this normally brilliant business man would throw caution to the wind and continue his schemes to own this RB, regardless of cost or outcome possible..?

Do do do do...do do do do..

..only in "The Cowboys Fan Zone"

(fade to commercial)

The question was not presented as having to pick one or the other either. It was presented as having to use 2 number 1s to pick one or the other. You can not possibly expect us to believe that we would be in any situation that would force us to use two #1s on either of these players. Could it happen? Sure, it could happen. Is it realistic or even a good idea? Not so much.

I understood that my answer did not fall into his parameters...And I still wouldn't do it.

If I had to give up 2 1sts, I'd pick several players over LT. Anyone who'd give up 2 1sts for a RB is just ignorant of the fact that RBs have very little impact on winning games.

Manning, Brady, Palmer, Roethlisberger, etc. Even if I had to pick a RB, I'd pick Peterson over LT.
