If you had your choice and why ?

Eric Berry, S or Earl Thomas, S

Thomas because I'm bias. I think both are very good players and would be happy with either guy

Thomas.

He is a little younger, a little faster, and can cover more ground than Berry can.

My only 2 concerns with Thomas are durability at the pro level and becoming a better tackler.

He isn't a terrible tackler. Just needs to improve that part of his game.

Why Berry going higher in the Mock Drafts?

Because he is bigger for one reason and has been a very good player through out his college career. Chances are he will be the 1st safety

Anybody who seriously thinks Thomas is better then Berry has not watched Berry much. He was easily the best player in the entire SEC last year.

Thomas may very well have a nice NFL career. But he simply isn't on the same level of Eric Berry. Berry averaged 35 yards per INT return. That is insane.

Berry is the 1 player in this draft that I feel could come in and not only start, he would have a huge impact on what is already a very good defense. Berry would benefit from Wade's scheme and the Cowboys would benefit from having a kid back there who is an amazing ballhawk and a very willing hitter.

Thomas is going to be very good and is a very nice consolation prize but Berry is the one you want.

Besides, Longhorns stink. :D

Not as bad as USC.

I will say I like your cheerleaders but that is it. :laugh2:

He wasn't better than Joe Haden last year. They gave him the Thorpe as a career achievement.

Thomas and Haden both were more deserving based off of 1 season.

He was better then Haden last year. I watch a ton of SEC games. Berry had more impact then any other player in the entire conference.

Look at what Berry did 3 years in a row in a very tough conference. The game film doesn't lie.

If Thomas was better then you'd think at least ONE NFL team or draft site would have him ranked higher then Berry.

The only person who ever ranked him higher was McShay, and his opinion is usually the opposite of every other expert. He thought Andre Woodson was a first round quality QB.

Suh, if I had my pick of anybody. He's the best player in this draft IMO. After that, I'd take Okang. He's the best LT prospect in this draft and he would be a position of need.

Like Suh as well but if I took Suh I would be looking to run the 4-3 instead of the 3-4.

Mayock has him ranked higher ( guys does more film study than Kiper or anyone else related to the draft in the media) and there have been rumors that Berry isn't #1 on every teams board.

1 Earl Thomas* Texas
2 Eric Berry* Tennessee
3 Taylor Mays Southern California
4 Chad Jones* LSU
5 Major Wright* Florida

Because he is supossedly rated higher by almost all the teams out there. I notce that Mayock happens to prefer Thomas, but he's the only one I've heard say it...and he does not represent a team.

Suh would be awesome in Wade's 34. Wade uses a rush DE in his scheme and a penetrating NT. He actually attacks with both positions in his style of 34. He doesn't just ask either position to hold ground. He uses them to funnel plays towards certain areas of the field. Much different then say a Parcells 34. I could see Suh used at either position in our defense with a very high degree of success.

Yep, Suh would dominate in any pretty much any scheme.
