In 2021 Dak went toe to toe with the great Gardner Mineshew II in a game with nothing on the line. Dak and the Cowboys lit up the Eagles in this one. A no pressure game with nothing on the line.

How about 2019? Remember what happened on the road against the Eagles with a playoff spot on the line?

I made a thread on Dak’s play at home vs away a few weeks ago and it was brushed aside by his cult.

It is a real talking point that they dont want to have
 
Sure, get Dak to mid-field and Aubrey puts up 3… but the better teams are scoring 7. That’s the problem. Dak’s just a regular-season stat padder — great for numbers, terrible at winning in crunch time. Facts > feelings.

Didn’t say it was. Obviously, even with Aubreymatic, having to kick 5 field goals means we didn’t score TD’s.

But ask ChatGPT how often a QB throws for 374 a game. It isn’t often.

I believe that if our o-line and Pickens had played better, we might have won this game. Plenty of other factors besides that played a part, but those two (and, obviously, the lack of defense) were pretty key last night.

Ronnie has a habit of pulling out these historical anecdotes but leaving out ALL the relevant context then disappearing after being presented with the facts he conveniently "forgot".

No it's not. Settling for FGs means the QB couldn't move the ball well enough in the 1st three downs.

Average? OK, I can agree w/ that. However, when you insist on a top of the market(more like above the market) contract, then you should play like it. He did not.

Our running game was average. OL was missing Guyton horribly.

Sure, but then you're only using one metric.

In 2019 Jameis Winston threw for 5,109 yds. One of the highest totals in NFL history. Not often a QB throws for 5 grand. Do you remember that season? Also threw for 33 TDs.

There is a ton more to any player's contributions than raw stats.
 
Dak didn’t play awful. He definitely made mistakes... but He doesn’t play special teams.. He doesn’t play defense..He can’t make someone run a good route. He can’t make guys not fumble. If you take all of those parameters and still blame Dak that’s your narrative anyway and there’s nothing no one can do to change that perception. This is a 100 percent team loss, nothing more nothing less.

He was inaccurate on several deep passes (got CD concussed).

Threw that horrific backwards pass instead of throwing it away

Led 0 Td drives in the first half against a team missing most of their secondary.

So was I. I never said Dak was amazing or played great. I did point out that he did his job and gave us a chance with 10 minutes left in the game.

This is no different than judging our defense vs the EaGirls. They gave up 21 points in the first half only to shut the EaGirls down the rest of the game. Did our defense suck vs the EaGirls? They weren't great but they did their job and gave the team a chance to win.
