If you think the blue jerseys are bad luck, consider this

If the Cowboys defeat the Rams this upcoming Sunday - a very reasonable possibility - they will be 3-0 in their last three games when wearing road blue jerseys.

Right now, the Cowboys are 1-4 in their last five games when wearing white.

And if they go 1-2 in their next three white-wearing games against the Saints, Texans and Seahawks - which I think to be the likeliest outcome - they'd fall to 2-6 in their last eight white-wearing games.

The navy blue jerseys, worn since about the 80s I think, have never been bad luck. It's the discontinued royal blue ones that were bad luck.

Super Bowl V

Too small of a sample size.

The Eagles lost both of their Super Bowls (1980 and 2004) while wearing home green, but you don't hear Eagles fans calling their home green uniforms bad luck.

I don't believe in the whole bad or good luck thing but I do wonder that why you wouldn't wear your blue jerseys more whan the white ones have racked up so many losses and so many mediocre seasons.

The blue jersey myth has been dispelled on here a dozen times in here over the years.

Last count it was around 50-50 between blues and whites

Yeah I think was 1978 NFC championship game Dallas 28 Rams 0 in
the blues. Charlie Waters went off on them. Pat Hayden Rams QB forced out with broken thumb.

Anybody else remember? Did I get the year right?

Never paid attention to uniforms being good luck or bad luck. It is not the uniform it is the men wearing them that will determine the outcome.

Dude, settle down...i doubt anyone actually believes that myth, just something fun to talk about. I like the blues a couple times a year

Any excuse to get em the blue more often would work:D Such a sharper look and when they wore them at home last season, I believe it was one of the more emotional games (home crowd wise). I remember the following week half of us clamoring for them full time bc it actually felt like a home game. We could still wear the whites on the road like most teams.

The pic above of the glorious "jinxed" blue jerseys reminds me... Have you guys noticed some of the guys (inactive players, etc) on the sideline wearing the new royal blue Cowboys t-shirts? Wonder if maybe a new throwback is in the works? Hoping so...

I think the team should wear brightish-green camo, so the players blend in with the turf. Opposing QBs would be throwing picks all day.

Just as long as they don't update the uni with those garish, horrible looking unis like Tampa and Seattle. Or make the star to where it covers 3/4 of the helmet. The whites are a classic, clean look that not many teams wear anymore.

The blue jersey curse thing was in the 80's, the new generation fans don't know nothing about a blue jersey curse...

Growing up in the 1970s, the Cowboys really believed in that "Blue jinx".
It was real evident in the 1980 NFC Championship Game when the Eagles chose to wear their white uniforms only to make the Cowboys wear their blue uniforms.

That following spring & summer, the Cowboys organization came out with the new blue uniforms for the 1981 season. Personally, I still love those uniforms and they are not much different than those of today. I remember the numbers on the hips. The Cowboys wore the blue uniforms on opening day of the 1981 season in Washington. The Cowboys won 26-10 (does that score sound a bit familiar).

One of the more recent examples of the "curse" happened in 2008 when the 1-4 St. Louis Rams chose to wear their white uniforms at home, forcing the Cowboys to wear road blue uniforms. The Rams would upset the Cowboys 34-14. We play at the Rams this Sunday and are wearing the blue jersey again.

As a side note in case anyone forgot, the game in Phily that Michael Irvin was hurt we wore the blue jerseys.

th

that game shouldn't count since brad johnson started and refused to throw past 5 yds down the field.
