Serious, if you were him, would you come to Dallas as a head coach.
He’s dealt with Jerry before
He certainly capable
Who wouldn’t want to step up
But, the big butt.
Is he the type of person that would stick it to Jerry after not being promoted the first time?
Personally, I wouldn’t mind Kellen Moore . I know he’s a brilliant offensive minded person.
I just don’t know what type of field management situation football skills he has.
And do I really want my head coach calling plays taking away from field management.
So much to consider.

It can be his offense, but he can bring a guy in he's work with to call the plays while he manages the game. Knowing him, I think he loves having that sheet in his hand

I think some people would consider the pros and cons of working for someone like Jerry Jones. The number one positive is the opportunity and getting that added to your professional coaching resume. I know people think it is a joke working for Jerry Jones and will not dispute it, but any National Football League coaching opportunity (head coach or otherwise) is tiny in retrospect to the number of hopeful candidates.

The number one negative is knowing you will not entertain the same aura of players' respect that a head coach would normally receive at any level of the sport. Subtract sports talking heads and you have still heard or read between the lines ex-player and ex-coaches' perspectives of playing and working for Jones. You are a head coach candidate. Succeed or fail, you know, going in, a vital component of coaching is getting your players to both buy into your system/methodology AND keeping them totally bought into what you are selling them.

I think these are among the variables being weighed by Kellen Moore right now. How more or less important they are to him is questionable but I believe they are floating around inside his head too.

How do you know he is certainly capable? He is on his third team as OC, fired twice. I don’t get why some want him back, it is just reverting back to the Garrett era. This is not a step forward like some think. All of the coaches that will come with him have been in Dallas before….all retreads where Jerry does the hiring, not Kellen because he has no coaching tree or philosophy.

If you want more curl routes, bland running scheme and forgetting to even run the ball sometimes…..then Kellen is your man. This has another Garrett situation in the making, maybe another decade of futility just like Jason. Zimmer would be the better hire over him because he would be easier to get out after a couple of seasons. Kellen might stick around like Garrett….fungus 2.0.

I think Moore's 50-3 collegiate record speaks to his field management and football skills.

The experience that this person has. Checks off all the boxes in my opinion. So when we had a dink and dunk offense that actually worked . You were one of the ones that wanted to open it up and change like we did and became one of the highest scoring offenses in the league. But lost game clock time of possession. The defense couldn’t stand up to it. Offense again. I’ll take the dink and dunk methodical that Kellen Moore brings.

This is who Jones wants imo. Seems pretty obvious. Whether or not KM wants to come here is another matter.

I don’t really have a problem with him as an OC, his offense did produce for the most part. I have a big problem of him becoming the head coach.

He's already played here, been the QC and OC here.

Unless he would get paid better somewhere else and a more comfortable opportunity?

Of course he would. He's already been here in so many ways. Why not to be the HC on a properly proposed contract?

I wouldn't largely just due to the timing of it all. I think he comes to Dallas where there is a serious talent downgrade on the offensive side of the football where he will be most judged. Jerry would have to be very convincing that he is committed to upgrading the roster for me to leave a really good OC job in Philly. The tough part of it all is that you never know if he will get another opportunity as a HC in this league with only 32 jobs in the world.

No.

Kellen would smart to not ju.p I to the position for any reason. He should consider a HC position where he has some weapons to work with and the expectations are low.

Nope
Saddled with Jerry and a declining injured Dak who already got paid is a recipe for badness

He’s interviewed for HC positions before. There’s a reason why he was not selected. He is interviewing with Jacksonville, again (2022). If he is not selected I don’t see Jerry picking a guy that was not selected by another team in this round of head coaching opportunities. Moore has been around long enough to know there will be opportunities in the future if he remains a coach in the NFL. I don’t believe his time is now.

I think he should. You’ve been passed over multiple times. Jerry is comfortable with you and will honor the terms of the contract just like

That is where I go back and forth....I could absolutely see him having opportunities in the future, especially given his age, but its also a league with such a short memory as well. A bad 2025 from his offense could be a huge set back.

If he has a bad 2025 with that roster he should not be a NFL head coach.

Once Moore is hired it won't take even one game before the all out discussions resume on "is it the play called, or is it the person executing said play?"

And the GroundHog Day movie will continue.
