I just don’t know what type of field management situation football skills he has.
And do I really want my head coach calling plays taking away from field management.

If I were him, no I would not. But I can see him actually taking the job. The reason he is the OC at Philly is because no one wanted him as HC . So Jerry would probably be his only chance.

Desperate and no options, perfect for Jerry.
 
If he could build a offense for Trey Lance, then I think he would come here.
Yes, I'd want him calling plays and have a little guy next to him to manage the timeout garbage
Trade Parsons for a number one and a number 2.
If there's a potential quarterback when we draft, grab him, if not trade out of the first round and use all your duckets for the number one pick 2026.
Or in the unlikely event, the Trey Lance becomes that guy. Then we're really in good shape in 2026.

If Kellen were smart, he's stay put for a couple of years because he actually has a team it seems he can work with.

It's easy to look good as an offensive coordinator with a good offensive line, good receivers and Barkly at running back. Hurts at this point actually seems like the weak link.

Kellen also knows how Jerry works first hand. That could be good or bad, not certain...

Well, it depends. We may not be that far from a number one pick, because if Trey Lance doesn't work out, it's going to be an ugly year, because Dak isn't going to be the guy, we've established that much.
We've got a tough schedule upcoming.

If I am Kellen, heck ya I take the Cowboys HC job. I do a three year deal and then move on.
