If you were Kellen Moore, would you come here?

If he has a bad 2025 with that roster he should not be a NFL head coach.
I can't argue against that too much, but the risk is always there and it happens sometimes. Super bowl hangovers can be a real thing. A couple injuries that leave your OL banged up. This is already a locker room that the HC lost for a period down the stretch in 2023. Overall I think you're right and KM should be just fine a year from now, but a coordinator betting on themselves can be risky as there is still someone over you who is actually calling the finals shots.

There's only 32 head coaching jobs, and most of the ones that open up come with strings attached.

Jerry is definitely a big negative in Dallas, but you could go to New York and have your owner vetoing your GM's trade based on Madden ratings. Or go the Saints and spend at least a year in cap hell. Or go to the Raiders where you're starting Gardner Minshew. You'll have about two seasons from there to find a QB before they start calling for your head.

Serious, if you were him, would you come to Dallas as a head coach.
He’s dealt with Jerry before
He certainly capable
Who wouldn’t want to step up
But, the big butt.
Is he the type of person that would stick it to Jerry after not being promoted the first time?
Personally, I wouldn’t mind Kellen Moore . I know he’s a brilliant offensive minded person.
I just don’t know what type of field management situation football skills he has.
And do I really want my head coach calling plays taking away from field management.
So much to consider.
If he can raise his salary from 1.5 million per year to 7 -10 million per year and ger 4 to 5 years? Heck Yes he comes here.

Only if I didnt have any other offers. Guess it depends on how desperate he is to be a HC.

Kellen shouldn't come unless he can choose his own quarterback.
He has a future in the NFL as one of the better coaches, but being saddled with Dak for four years means that he would take the blame when the offense shuts down in big games, just as before.
In the past he was hated in Dallas. First because he was a threat to Dak as the starter, and then he was hated because Dak choked in big games and he took the blame.
ANY COACH THAT TAKES THE COWBOYS JOB MUST GET TO CHOOSE HIS OWN QUARTERBACK.
Or, he will end up like McCarthy.

In answer to question: No. Not if you were serious about winning a championship and having a long, productive career as a head coach.

Of course he would. He already knows the score. I don’t recall him burning any bridges. It’s still the Dallas Cowboys even though there’s the shine is off the star.

No. Several reasons:
1. Too young, needs more experience.
2. Former quarterback. Former quarterbacks don't win SBs in the NFL very often. Look at the most successful NFL coaches - Landry, Noll, Belichick, Johnson, Parcells. Defensive guys, especially former NFL players who became head coaches.
3. Jerry threw him under the bus when McCarthy was the coach. How do we know he won't intentionally fail in critical moments just to get back at Jerry?
He wouldn't lose credibility if that was the case, who's been ultra successful with Jerry post-Jimmy? Nobody, so he'll get a pass when considered for another team.
4. He basically ignored the running game when he was the OC at Dallas, sure the Eagles ran the ball this year a lot, but they had Barkley, a super running back, don't trust Kellen to run the ball effectively with a less than top back.
5. Lastly, there are better choices out there - coaches with better resumes, more able to deal with Jerry, more capable at relating to the players.

Just no on Kellen. Nothing against him personally, he's a decent enough coach from what we've seen, just not a good fit for my Cowboys...

he would be run over by Jerry and Stephen. he would be the closest Jerry would get to being coach of the team, he would have his hand up Moore's *** and moving his lips for him. Moore as dallas HC is a disaster in the waiting. Jerry would dictate the DC, the position coaches and how many coaches.

Different League now. Can't play physical or you are penalized. Receivers have no fear going over the middle. Qb's know they aren't going to take the big hit so the stand in there unpressured. Good offense beats good defense now.

Yeah, it’s a NFL head coaching job and I think Dallas is the only team even considering him. Kellen supposedly failed his interviews miserably.

WHY would you want the guy you fired for not getting the job done brought back? Too funny. I wouldn't trust Moore to build a culture and I damn sure wouldn't trust the offense (under him as HC) to FINALLY be the run-first juggernaut it needs to be to win a championship. NO...SALE.

Hell no! As of right now you run a great offense and if you keep doing that the opportunities will come where you don't have to work with these morons. No way should he leave a pretty good situation to go back to the Jones family micro managing his every move.

given there are only 32 HC jobs in the NFL, and ours, regardless of how you might be hamstrung, is to HC the marquee franchise at least in the NFC, yes
