If you were to buy a historic piece what would it be?

Let’s cap this at 10K dollars. What would you buy that is history related? An autographed Cowboys Super Bowl football? An Egyptian death mask? An ID’d civil war musket! A check signed by Murphy AND Dolan? A piece of a meteorite? A Russian icon? George Washington’s signature?

So if you HAD to buy and historic related piece for 10K or under what would it be?

Keep it realistic ladies and gentlemen. Don’t tell me you would buy the holy arc and you can’t use your time machine @Reverend Conehead.

Thanks for the 10K budget.

I'd like to buy the violin bow that Jimmy Page used during the "Dazed And Confused" number from MSG in NYC in 1973.

Whatever I could get from the Titanic, always been obsessed with that topic. Other than that, maybe an authentic arm ring from an actual Viking? I dont know how much these things would cost lol. And of course, some Cowboys stuff would always be great as well. Definitely wouldnt mind a game worn jersey or helmet from one of our Super Bowls.

I read an article a couple days ago that there is a big movie prop auction this month, maybe not exactly "historical", but some pretty cool stuff.
The original and only Zippo lighter used by Bruce Willis, in "Die Hard". The knife that Brad Pitt uses in "Inglorious B*******" to carve into Col. Landa's forehead. The pin stripe suit worn in the final scene by Pacino in "Scarface" A Walther PP5 used by Sean Connery in "Never Say Never Again" The yellow hazmat suits worn by Pinkman and Walter White from "Breaking Bad"

There's a bunch of stuff from the Alien series, Die Hard, Batman, Predator, Harry Potter movies and a bunch of other movies as well.

I checked one of their past auctions and one cool thing I saw was the eye patch worn by John Wayne in "True Grit" only went for $12,500, just over the $10k limit though........

General Custer's uniform hat and gloves. He is a relative of mine My hippie brother could have played him in reenactments. Long blondish red hair..

No time machine? Dam. That throws a wrench in this scenario. Something medieval. Disturbing and awesome at the same time. A Viking relic?

Moby Dick 1st edition 40 grand. I'd really like to have that.

Huh, that’s really thoughtful, interesting and realistic. Thanks for your reply!
