My pet cat was Malik Davis. With personal agendas aside I feel it's in the team's best interest to keep a QB with a very high ceiling than a RB that has maxed out his potential. Especially considering the positions being discussed. QB is the most important position and RB position being devalued.

Michael Irvin is right about one thing. We have the perfect QB situation. A bonafide starter that has won games, a #2 guy that has won games and a developmental QB with a lot of potential. Again if you're a fan of the whole team I don't see how this could bother you.
Why did you like Malik Davis? I thought he was a low grade running back. Never understood why he was even on the team.

In reference to pet cats there are 16 practice squad spots to fill tomorrow. Some will probably be other teams' cuts but Cowboys hopes did not end for all the players axed today.

I started liking him last year and him and Zeke carried the load against the Titans when Pollard was out. So I was hopeful he would make the next step with another offseason under his belt. But I’m happy with Deuce so I’m not too disappointed. But to answer your question it was the Titans game that made me a fan.

Half of these cowards who hate on a regular basis ARE fans of other teams. You can tell who the are.

They're the one's who disappear after we win and come around and post daily after losses. Everyone knows who these punk *** cowards are that I speak of. They pretty much post on Dak threads only.
Or they make the Dak hater threads..

It's a done deal. Can you just let it go.
He can't because it's seen as some threat to his poor precious Dak. He's a Dak fan, not a Cowboys fan. Lance could be a very reliable backup to Dak once he gets a little more experience, but heaven forbid any QB with talent be brought in and threaten Dak's position in any way, shape, or form. Who cares about the team's needs? It's all about Dak.

Is it strange that I am a Dak fan that is excited about the Trey Lance trade? The Cowboys made a move to get better. Teams need to do this at every position.

While I still think Dak gives the Cowboys the best chance to win why not have a Plan B? We can all agree Dak has not made it through a full 16/17 game schedule since 2019 and while it may be hard to believe he's already been around eight years. Why not kick the tires on a 23 year old raw talent?

Lance didn't take a roster spot away from anybody. He just makes the Cowboys deeper and better.

Isnt that Rockport one of the bigger homers on here?
I think he was the one arguing the Dez catch no catch was a no catch. I maybe wrong. If so sorry. But I try not to contest someone’s fandom.

If they are a troll the. I have sympathy for them, either there team sucks or they are a part of a small group from another team forum that nobody there wants to play with so they come here and think it’s cool or funny to try to stress or argue with or start trouble amongst other forum members.. It’s sad really if you think about it. But hey…when mom yells down to the basement that there hot pockets are ready then they know everything is gonna be ok..

I don’t think rockport is a troll. We have had some pretty good conversations.

And right now he isn’t plan B. Rush can be here for this year and next year. JJ made the trade because he saw a kid that only played 19 games in his college career. But won all 19. Thew 30 TDs and some sites say 0 ints and some say 1 int. Now the TEAM was in the middle of a 59 straight win streak so they had a good TEAM. But he played well and studied the game all the time. He needs a lot of time to get a transition to the NFL. I think niners thought they could could just plug him in.

Exactly. And his career college stats were 30 TD's and 1 interception. His final full season there was when he had that amazing 28 TD, zero pick season. Played just one game in 2020 due to Covid and his lone college pick came in that one.

No, that means that you’re a Cowboys fan. You’re a Cowboys fan first and a Dak fan 2nd. Just like when Dak took Romo’s job. I was/am a huge Romo fan but the Cowboys were winning so I was happy. I love Dak as a person and about 50/50 on him being a player but if a move is made to better the roster then I’m for it, personal bias agenda aside.

Pretty much. Makes sense to invest for the future and see what you have in this guy. Trey was a guy that would have cost numerous first rounders to get and we got him for a 4th. If he busts, that's much easier on the franchise than if we spent significant draft capital for him.
