If he’s our best RB, he will and should start. It’s not the coaches’ or Zeke’s fault that Jerry didn’t provide a RB 1

Zeke playing the first snap would be a confirming metaphor for what the FO values: Brand over performance, comfort over progress, optics over reality

It better be Dowdle. He’s the better back, and he’s earned a starting role. Heck I’d rather see Deuce more than Zeke this game.
Doesn’t matter if he takes the first snap for two yards. That isn’t going to make or break the season.

 Saying it's possible that Zeke rushes 20 times for 100 yards and a TD isn't stupid.

Since Zeke and most of the O-Line didn't play in the preseason, we have no idea what he will look like running behind them. Rico hasn't done anything to show us he's better than Zeke. What's stupid is to think just because they start Zeke means they only care about "Brand over performance, comfort over progress, optics over reality."
Yeah, it's possible...but not probable...just you wishing it happens. Go find a Unicorn...

C mon. Its not a serious franchise and it hasnt been for a long time. If they sign Dak they are sending a clear message they arent taking it seriously.

Next HC will either be Zimmer, (ho hum) or Belichik for the flash and camera snaps, again, not taking it seriously.

If they were, get the younger QB, get a younger HC next year, bring in a new scout team and fireball your culture.

Keeping Dak only means you are paying him to watch him age. ITs funny how people accepted Garret was the problem yet watching Dak year after year wont accept that Dak isnt going to get them over the hump, but thats why people still pull pryamid schemes.

The franchise is not serious regardless, the mere fact they brought Zeke back was a big tell that they were punking the fans. Come on, what franchise was beating down Zekes door? This is a culture that rewards most players for failing and keeping the same drum culture of "Hey not many teams can say they got lambasted in the playoffs" and have a bunch of minions spit what they spew. Look at the teams that are passing us by, some might not be always be succesful but at least they are trying. We are trying to serve Danish food to the latino community and no one is having it.

Being members of this website doesn't entitle us to take on the responsibility of an offensive coordinator, nor the HC. It's just not our thing!

Mike McCarthy would surely be upset if he thought that were the case. The system currently in place will probably remain untouched in 2024.

It's funny that this would be an indication that we aren't a serious team. Like all the "All In" stuff and subsequent actions by the Jones family wasn't enough. You have a prove it year for your coach who's had consecutive 12 win seasons. You have a franchise QB who's going into the first game without a contract for next year. Yeah, that's kinda unserious to me.

I really don't get what the first run play is going to tell is about this team. It's a whole friggin season to look out for.

I don't care who starts, the scoreboard after 60 minutes is what counts.

28 years of ineptitude and this is what convinces you that Dallas front office sucks?

He did not say the 1st run play. He said if Zeke is out there dor the 1st snap. Zeke doesn't even need to touch the ball just having him as the starting back is the joke

If McCarthy trips and falls to the ground on the sidelines, and rocks himself to sleep trying to get up - season over!
