That's fair. Although, usually the Draft threads are more direct in subject like scouting particular players etc. I was just trying to see what everyone thought about the trade deadline that's around the corner. See what everyone feels about where we are now because, it IS time to either prepare for a trade idea or sit tight and wait for the draft. FS so far is an area of opportunity. Although I like Wilcox swag and hopefully with time, his play will be more consistent.

Ok thanks for clearing that up, I'm still figuring out the nuances. Yeah I really like Wilcox as well and if he does develop and is on a trajectory the coaching staff is confident with that's all the better. I don't know much about the DL depth in the draft just yet, I'm more familiar with the top. Any good options you think near the bottom of the 1st?

The two guys that would help the most, Leonard Williams and Randy Gregory are likely top 5 picks and would be cost prohibitive to move up for.

I haven't even started scouting players to be honest. Like I was saying, I was more looking for opinions on what we have now vs. what we need. In the beginning of the year the entire front 7 looked questionable as well as corner. However, Scandrick, Moore, Carr have all been playing well and I am near flabbergasted (Yeah, I used that word) at the depth and play of our linebacker core. I feel solid about our depth and think we should stick with best player available. We do need a few more rotational and talent additions on the front 4 though.

Yeah I'd still be interested in adding DL whether to work in as starters or just for rotation. I wouldn't shy away from DBs, but ours are young, playing well and will only improve with time and better Line play.

Yeah, they'll most likely be very far from our reach.

If we wind up with a high win count this season, placing us at the bottom of the draft pile, would you prefer to stay put and take what comes or use something as a trade chip for picks this year before the season is up? If the latter, who would you trade and why? I prefer to stay put, I think the young talent and depth here is great. I really don't want to lose much of anyone we've got right now to be honest. I just want to add to the pile of talent.

It's way, way too early to tell.
