Stallworth didn't run at the combine in 2002, but he was known to run in the 4.2s and Kiper had him estimated at 4.25.

In 2003, Curtis ran a 4.43 by Kipers combine numbers, but claimed he had run as fast as 4.35.

really i thought the reason Stallworth jumped up the draft so much was because of his blazing time at the combine. I thought it was something like 4.27 but i cant find it anywhere.

Ok so ive been debating with my friend whos an eagles friend about who is faster......Stallworth or Curtis? Ive looking up their 40 times from the draft on the web but i find different times at each site. Is there an official site I can go to to find out because we made a bet about this and im almost 100% sure Stallworth is faster, i just need proof.

I heard Stallworth ran a 4.26 in college. I'm not sure on that though. I did dig this up on Curtis though.

Curtis is a physical freak of nature. At 5-foot-11, 185 pounds, he bench pressed 225 pounds 20 times in a workout for NFL scouts (his best is 385). He also posted a vertical leap of 38 inches and a hand-timed 40-yard dash of 4.21.

If you bet Curtis you might be right..

That's very disappointing. He's a very good and underrated player. He'll give us some problems for years to come.

I'm really not all that worried about a career backup who averages 12.6yds per catch

Where are all the E-girl trolls at? I figured they would be over here beating their superbowl drum.

Even the Beagle fans know they overpaid bad.......$32 freaking million for a career backup? That is almost as bad as the Titans paying a special teams guy $5 mill next year.

Dumb, real dumb.....both moves.

A smart move by the Eagles. Did they really pay too much for the "career backup" who was playing behind a pair of pretty decent WR's in St. Louis? I don't believe so, not for a minute. This is a six year deal for a WR who can compete for the eagles #1 spot with Brown.

Brown is a pretty good receiver and Curtis in my opinion- living in the St. Louis area and having seen quite a bit from this kid over the years- is better than Brown. They got a bargain.

What we got is a headache. Curtis can be counted on in the clutch, he is a tough receiver not afraid to take or give a hit. He is a good charactor type who will bring stability to a position that the iggles have struggled at for a while. For the Cowboys- this signing sucks.

Good pickup there. He's a nice little receiver...undervalued imnsho.

My thoughts as well, but I hope McNabb has been practicing his accuracy because Curtis isn't a huge target and we all know how accurate McNabb is. He does have better hands then Stallworth, but he is even smaller then him.

I'm no troll by a long shot; can't afford the luxury of looking Like a fool, complaining about something I have no control over, while spewing Out nonsensical insuLts at someone I don't know.

That said, I'll buy into the Curtis acquisition. From what I'm hearing about Curtis from many of you; coupled with what ESPN is saying ...Curtis was in high demand by many teams. Did the Eagles pay too much ...that depends on the priority they are placing On the need to replace Stallwaorth with a reliable, solid WR with the potential of having his career take off to the next level.
This Is going to be a special year for the Eagles (barring any significant injuries). I say that because this is the first Year that I've seen in a Very long time that the Eagles have payed this much into a FA acquisition. Now, I'm even told that we may ink Ron ...DOES RON DAYNE WANT TO BECOME AN EAGLE ...

So we'll see.

Say listen ...what's this talk about JJ up on the chopping blocks (being considered for trade)?

The Eagles were unwilling to dish out big bucks to some of their own deserving players the last few seasons now they pull a Daniel Snyder for Kevin Curtis. Gotta love it!

Curtis is a good football player, and we'll see that up close and personal.

Who did they let go that was more deserving, Corey Simon? Carlos Emmons, Duce Stanley? I don't recall many star players walking away.

He is a good possession WR and a decent pickup for the Eagles.
Not a stud.....imo....... but I also think he was overvalued as a FA.

Derrick Burgess, but also possibly Michael Lewis and Donte Stallworth.

Funny how you seemd to have missed T.O. ...or don't you consider him a former Eagles star player?

Letting Stallworth go was not an issue

1. He was inured yet again last year (been nicked up a lot)
2. His best year is what 70 catches 945 yards 7td

Curtis best year is 60 Catches 801 yards 6td

Well I did say possibly.
