The most likely scenario? The NFL is a cold business, and despite Smith’s aloof cockiness, he worked very hard to come back from a impossibly horrific injury. It just didn’t work. I shut off the NFL TV pundits long ago. They work for a system that uses ratings, and to get ratings, they have to talk about controversial stuff, even if they have to make a mountain out of a mole hill, and even if they have to dream stuff up.

I much prefer to find Cowboy fan Youtubers who comment on the game out of a love for the sport and the team. In my opinion, the very best one is Footsdaking, aka Bradley McDonald. He loves the team and studies up on them. His videos are always well worth the watch. My second choice is Shango. He's a good guy who also loves the team. He's more volatile and outspoken if we lose, but he always comes from the perspective of loving the team.

Neither guy is on Youtube to attempt to say inflammatory stuff just to get ratings. Leave the clowns like Stephen A. Smith behind and go watch Footsdaking and Shango.
