I like Canty more, only because I saw him more. But this is a good signing, especially considering it is cheaper (at least I'm assuming)

According to NFL.com, Igor is 6'6", 309 lbs. Canty is 6'7", 304 lbs.

Canty signed a 6 year deal worth $42 mil, with $17.25 mil guaranteed.

According to Mickey Spagnola, Igor signed for 4 years and $18 mil, with roughly $8 mil guaranteed.

The decision to let Canty walk is looking brilliant right now.

DMN has different #'s. Especially in tackles.

In 75 games for the Chargers; including 70 starts
Olshansky, a second-round pick in 2004, was credited by the coaches with 151 tackles to go with 11 sacks. (2.01 tackles per game)

In 64, including 50 starts, games with the Cowboys
Canty had 197 tackles and 10 sacks (3.07 tackles per game)

Not much of a difference, but just putting it out there.
